  • There are various types of Ability cards in Shadow Era and each are designed to bring out the many class flavors that exist in the game.
  • The effect(s) of the ability is written in the Card effect area.

  • There are three subtypes of abilities:
  1. (none) - Ability: Enters in play before to go to the Graveyard, as a "one-time-used" (if no counter effect).
  2. Attachment: Enters in play to be attached to heroes, allies or items (if no counter effect).
  3. Support: Enters in play to be placed in the support area (if no counter effect).

  • You can not play an attachment ability on a target that has already the same attachment.
  • You can not play a support ability if you already control the same one.

  • There are two ways to remove passive ability from heroes or allies:
"lose {keyword}": for each keyword passive ability, please report to each definition of the keyword.
"lose all passive abilities" Those are listed here:

Allies…:
Layarian Diplomat (one opposing ally - direct)
Grimjaw_Hydra (one opposing ally - in response)
Morbid Acolyte (one opposing ally - direct)
Abilities…:
Groundshift (heroes and allies - direct - until the end of the turn)
Shocking Grasp (one opposing ally - direct - attachment)
Location…:
Lakmire: Training Outpost (opposing wulven - in response)

  • Note that opposing hero or ally who gained {keyword} passive ability with an attachment or an item, will not lose {keyword} with the wording "lose all passive abilities".
  • Because it is the attachment or the item that gives the {keyword} passive ability, to counter the ability, you need to:
  1. make the hero or ally lose {keyword} with ability that specifically interact with the mentioned {keyword}.
  2. make the attachment or the item, that gives {keyword}, to leave the play.
