Since Shadow Era is a trading card game, the first step to understanding the gameplay rules is to examine the different types of cards available.

  • Shadow Era has five basic types of cards:
    1. Hero,
    2. Ally,
    3. Ability,
    4. Item (which always has a sub-type of Artifact, Weapon, Armor or Trap)
    5. Location.

To understand how the cards work, please read:
