- In Shadow Era, there are two types of resources and a Turn Number that govern the game:
- Casting Cost Resources (cc)
cc resources are placed in the resource pile, located above the graveyard.
They are built by sacrificing cards and by some abilities that allies, items and abilities possess.
They are the first prerequisite to play cards from hand and to activate abilities some allies, items and locations possess.
- Shadow Energy Resources (SE)
They are automatically built each turn (with the exception of going first on the first turn).
They are the first prerequisite to activate all heroes' abilities, and some allies and items and locations possess. - Turn Number (T"X")
Where X is the turn number.
It is the condition for Locations to be played.
