Before you get your game started, it’s important to understand how the playing area is set up.
Below you can see an example game board from the digital game.

The playing mat who is on the bottom of the screen is yours while the one at the top is the opponent's.
Every cards that are on your side are considered friendly cards.
Every cards that are on the opponent' side are considered opposing or enemy cards.

- A & B. Hero Health Bar/Icon - On the left, yours with your name account, on the right, the opponent's with its name account. Also indicates the number of the turn (on the screenshot above, it indicates turn 10).
- C. Location(s) Zone. This is where the location goes after being summoned.
- D. Hero Zone - This is the place where your hero is during the game.
- E. Ally Row - All of your summoned allies and the ones who are entering in play will be placed here. The first ally you summon when the board is empty is placed close to your hero, and each ally after that is placed to the right of the previous one. If one ally is killed, all the allies who were on his right move to the left of a square.

- G. Support Row - This is where items and support abilities are placed. The first card you summon to the Support row when the board is empty is placed close to your hero, and each one after that is placed to the right of the previous one. If one item is destroyed, all the items who were on his right move to the left of a square.
- H. Deck Zone - This is where the cards you draw throughout the game come from.
- I. Hand - This is where the cards you draw throughout the game will be.
- J. Your Resource Zone - The cards you choose to sacrifice each turn are placed here to indicate how many resources you may spend on your turns.
