This effect was introduced in Call of the Crystals.
Destroyed is a specific term reserved for attachment or support abilities and items (or allies that become artifacts (Transmogrification Curse)).
- By default and in this exact order, the mechanism is:
- When an item, a support or an attachment ability is destroyed, it is placed in its owner's graveyard.
- If an attachment ability was attached to a card that leaves the play, whatever the reason, the attachment ability is destroyed and placed in its owner's graveyard.
- When an item's durability reaches 0, the item is destroyed and placed in its owner's graveyard.
- When a weapon or an armor is replaced by the same one, it is destroyed and placed in its owner's graveyard.
- When an item, a support or an attachment ability is destroyed, it is placed in its owner's graveyard.
- When an item or a support / attachment ability is exiled, it is not considered as destroyed.
