Infernus, Tyrant of the Damned

i really do like this card for both the ability and its art. but as i try to build a deck* with it (and especially in combination with Furion Terror) i wonder if this card could get a little change:


instead of currently

" 6/6 Steadfast. Fire damage to opposing allies is increased by 1. "

to maybe

" 4/6 Steadfast. Fire damage to opposing allies is increased by 1. Infernus has immunity to fire damage. "
EDIT: " 4/6 Steadfast. Fire damage to opposing allies is increased by 1. Fire damage to Infernus is reduced by 2. "

This way he could be used more versatile (IMHO) and does more likely go according with the art. Because it somehow feels strange seeing a burning badass-guy that has no buff against fire-dmg at all...

i would be very happy if you could consider these changes! And of course if some of the experienced players here could state their opinion regarding this... yeah!

Immunity to fire damage is a great idea. I agree with it.

I think giving it complete immunity to Supernova is not a good choice. Would make Majiya and Gravebone OP. Maybe it would work if you reduce its health or if you limit fire immunity to a maximum of 2 or 3 damage.

YEAH! was thinking someting like that too. but i was not sure how to get the wording right... perhaps "all fire dmg to (...) is reduced by 2"?

Reduced by 2 would essentially give it the same ability. I really don't see the need to change him around.

there are already 2 fire immune allies, why not use them in your supernova spam deck? In either case, lets not pretend that the only reason for this proposal is flavor...is infernus underpowered/underused? Is supernova? Is Furion Terror? If you can't answer yes to all of those, I don't think this is a wise move.

It doesn't make him OP but it makes teching against mages A LOT easier. (Especially poor Loest, Raikka and Majiya.)

Majiya and Gravebone won't become OP for a 6cc ally with no immediate impact on the board. There are already Furrion Terror and Flameborn Defiler with fire immunity and they don't make there heroes stronger.

Infernus is weak. He needs something like, "When 'X' is summoned, all allies are set ablaze."
