But is it not harder for you to tech against then? Hmm, maybe no. Maybe you have counters for every hero ready anyway, though a new style needed to be played might catch one of the defenders off guard.

MartinJF (Lance) vs Pyrogene (Zaladar)

Interestingly pyrogene ran Dimension Rippler in his Zaladar deck. The 2 attack with the combination of Shadowfont and MC, makes it difficult for Lance to regain back board control.

The Acolytes of A1 City are a selected cadre who are dedicated to honing their craft under the tutelage of the A1 masters. They come from all walks of life, hail from different clans, speaks different languages, but are united for 1 purpose:- to be the best they can be for the defence of the A1 city.

Pyrogene is one such success case for the Acoytes. He had worked diligently, climbed up the ranks and is now a proud defender of A1 City.
He stood guard proudly at his designated guard post. A 200-pound lion, with it's majestic yellow body, on the mound over-seeing the cliff was a sight to behold. What stood out most is Pyrogene's signature orange mane; a glowing mass of blazing nimbus around his neck, giving him both a regal and menacing look. (Rumor has it that his diet of Radioactive Royal Jelly Jam plays a part in his stellar performance in Acolytes, but has the added side effect of a glowing mane; Pyrogene has never confirm nor deny the rumor. )

Pyrogene saw the enemy troops making their landing on the beach. Pyrogene focused on the beach, his mane folding into itself. With a huge roar, the lion strong legs propelled him into the air, a yellow flash that made a perfect arc from the top of the mound down to the beach.

MartinJF, Lance and his troops were not at all surprised by the sudden appearance of the yellow lion in front of them. The soldiers have been well drilled by MartinJF for this coastal hook operation. MartinJF raised his fist and opened up his fingers to signal "5". Without hesitation, Aldon, flanked by 2 armored Priest of the Light, charged at the defender.

Pyrogene stood his ground, unmoved by the valiant displays of the human soldiers. Streams of purple smoke appeared at the right side of Pyrogene, and Zaladar materialized from thin air. "I will take care of them, Captain", hissed Zaladar. He raised both hands and fired 2 shadow bolts at the charging soldiers. The bolts fanned out, and missed Aldon and Priests of the Light completely..... And striked into the Nightshades. They were sneaking up from the flanks, but Zaladar did not fell for the ruse of Aldon and Priests.

Aware that their formations were disrupted, Aldon the brave still lead the charge towards Pyrogene and Zaladar. Zaladar unsheathed the black blade behind his back, and slashed into the air. His swing was too quick and missed Aldon and Priests completely.

But the space in front of Aldon looked different. A rift had appeared in front of him, revealing a desolate landscape he did not recognize. Aldon and the Priests tried to break their charge, but a vacuum force came into effect from the rift. The human soldiers were sucked into the rift... And disappeared.

MartinJF needed to re-group his soldiers. He raised his 3 fingers into the air, and curled them into a fist. Aeon took the lead and sprang into the tip of the defensive position. Jasmine, Erika and Raven fell in position behind him. Lance threw a smoke bomb in front of Aeon. The defensive formation looked impenetrable from the outside.

Without warning, Aeon turned around and attacked Lance, shouting "I'm ought to be THE hero, not you!!!". Erika and Raven dropped their blades and cat-clawed at Jasmine. "We need our blings-blings too!!! Give it to me!!!!". The defensive formation was in disarray.

Pyrogene surveyed the situation and was satisfied that the defense was successful. " ENOUGH! ", he roared. The sound blast caused a ripple effect through the sand and the sea water.The fist-fights and cat-fights ceases completely and all stared at the Acolyte officer.

"Go back to where you belong. We have no wish to harm anyone." Right on cue, the attackers rushed to their landing boats, with MartinJF leading the retreat back into the seas.

My opponent has not been in good condition to play lately. He PMed me about it. I don't want a reschedule or reassigning of a new opponent. We'll play it as soon as he can but if that's causing A1 problems, I don't know about that. It shouldn't be though.
