You can't just say "whenever a card is drawn" then bad Santa and bazaar go nuts too

In defense of soothslyr, his mechanic is cleaner and there are other games that use similar mechanics. Though I don't think it would be good for Shadow Era's balance as it stands now, I could imagine a future in which it is.

thx, ninja. i agree that it wouldn't work with SE's mechanic though. the cardlist would have to be vastly larger, and SE is still too new for a card of that sort to come out without shaking up the balance. as for killtrend, i am not sure that if it is a neutral ability, that it wouldn't just make things worse. imagine majiya with that ability, and you will see what i mean.

Surely she would run it over research. But that just proves she's broken. You can use it on every other hero and it's just fine.

Drawing cards as a main ability is I'll-thought out.

eh i would run it WITH research. more + better = the end for my opp. lol. she is broken as is, but would be fine if the SE cost for her ability was raised to 3 or 4. she would be brought down from superman status then lol.

I kinda doubt it, actually. One important point to remember is that mage decks use spend a LOT of one-shot abilities, so CA is especially important for them. A card like this would really help filter to the burn cards in the late game, but there's no way it could sub 100% for Research. If Majiya decks ran this card over Research, I think it would just prove they never needed Research in the first place.

Majiya doesn't need research. Most majiya's use allies to stall long enough to keep burn coming without trouble. But who knows?

i think that we're all forgetting that if you run both, then item destruction becomes that much more important, and most decks don't have more than 3, so you couldn't even stop her from using her draw tactics. :\
