Kick Starter ... What gives

Ok it's been a year ONE YEAR !!! Since we donated our funds to help get this game up to the next level .. An Investment fund can mature in less time ( maybe not ..but you get the point )
The AI is still only using the DC deck.. No improvement there.
No Single Player campaign ... Artwork still not completed...
I understand you want to do the job correctly and produce a great product. But one year on I did not expect to be still waiting for you to deliver. (I'll certainly be more weary before donating again .. )
I know you'll have "good reasons" and "excuses " And it's still a great game.
It seems you needed to reach a target in donations by a certain date. But after that there was no deadline to get the product to the customers who supported you ...

I'm not sure what you are looking for with this thread, but I understand the frustration and disappointment. The commitment to backers has not been forgotten though and Shadow Era 3.0 will eventually appear.

I'm not "looking for" anything except maybe the finished product. It's really just a statement of opinion concerning the state of affairs in Shadow Era with regards Kick Starter and the lengthy delay in delivering on your commitment. I find your comment that Shadow Era 3.0 will "eventually " appear both very condescending and disingenuous. You wouldn't say to us " give us x amount of money by this date and one day we will 'eventually' deliver on our end of the bargain." But that in effect is what you have said ... I most certainly hope the commitment to your backers has not been forgotten and they will "eventually" be shown the respect they deserve for the commitment they have shown to you.

Maybe we expect an explanation on what's happening with the promised features, where the money went and why Kyle or whoever is developing the UI part of the game has not reported any progress in months.

I'm genuinely sorry that you took it that way. I shouldn't have replied here, since there's no way for me to make a comment and it not sound like it's from Wulven. That comment was from me personally, in my capacity as a backer and fan of the game.

Well said ... I think we are owed some explanation for the faith, and money, we put into funding the Kick-starter Shadow Era expansion instead of pat assurances that it will be " soon " or " eventually " After one year and it hasn't been developed doesn't feel right. There's absolutely no guarantees that in twelve months time there will still won't be any development.

That's ok

We both love this game and as you say it's frustrating and disappointing that it's taking this long. Especially after surpassing the donation requirement to fund the expansion and maybe half the game still undeveloped. Let's hope Wulven can make a statement to its backers.

The kickstarter yielded really disappointing results. I've heard a saying: "Disappointment equals expectations minus reality". My (our) expectations were not very high, we just wanted Wulven to deliver what was promised in the Kickstarter. Even customer support is bad. Opened a ticket a month ago and still no reply. Rewards for Kickstarter are missing for many and customer support cannot even solve that. I remember seeing the Kickstarter delivery date as January 2014. Guess when the actual rewards started coming? Many months after January (I'm not sure if this is so for everyone, but it certainly is for me). This game has potential. Wulven said that they would bring out these potentials with our support (money, basically). I have yet to see what they have promised.

The closed beta for KS backers started in January.

What I learn from that is that the emphasis of all Kickstarters should be that the thing would not have happened at all without the backers, rather than that it is going to happen in a timely fashion. Damn, Hex TCG took over $2 Million in kickstarter money back in June 2013 and I'm still waiting to get some of the stuff from that.

Yes, but that's only 1 in many rewards that arrived on time.

That's why I mentioned that SE has potential.

Also, if you are going to compare games, SE has one of the slowest customer supports out there. Hell, even EA's customer support is better. At least they gave me a reply within 2 days.
