Yes they do need to be streaked.

And if you can't get 5 wins streaked in quick match, alive vs fluffy will be a problem.

"Alternatively you can Self Revive by getting 5 wins straight while dead. This does not count towards your alive streak or damage the monster."

Key word there is straight.

5 is not a lot. 5 is what you need to break even dmg wise without streaks.

You can self revive while dead at 5 of your own wins. So try that.

I thought the second sentence told me to revive at 5 of my own wins meaning not streaked... So I guess I'm not alive... Still dead.
