Talking New to SE, got a few questions

    Greetings all,

I don't have much in the way of card game experience, but have been having a lot of fun with SE. I'm currently level 10, and have been playing the AI more or less all the way. I'm currently playing a Gravebone deck that is under construction. I've read a bunch of posts about Gravebone decks, and currently win about 95% of all the AI games except against AI Boris Skullcrusher. A big thanks should be given to all the folks who have posted their Gravebone decks, as it's been real interesting in reading what people are doing. And I've read through all the newbie guide posts, thanks to those have have taken the time to post that content as well.

My questions are about chat, PvP, and playing versus the AI.

Chat - I play the PC version of SE, and noticed that the Options menu has a toggle for chat. I have never seen hide nor hair of any sort of SE chat. What am I missing? (I should note that in an effort to be social, I am not only posting this, but have also just added the Freenode IRC chat to my list of IRC connections, and I can join that unoffical chat).

PvP - I have played two PvP games so far. The first time, I created a game, and another player joined right away. The second time, I selected Quick Game, and had my second PvP game that way. My first PVP question is what is the difference between these 2 types of PvP games?

PvP - I'm not what I would consider a very good player yet, but I think I have the general game mechanics down. Currently, my goal is to: play-to-gain-gold-to buy-cards. Is there even any reason to play PvP at this point? Both of the PvP games I played rewarded my win with less gold then the AI games I've been playing recently.

PvP - Seeing as how my rank is way low, I wondered if PvP matches are matched up by rank, or if it's just a total free-for-all?

AI Games - Someplace, I don't recall where, I read that some AI games will add a 3-card reward. If this is true, I have yet to see it. Right now, my goal is to acquire cards, so I am rather curious as to this 3-card reward thing.

Sorry about the wall of text and the load of questions!

First I would like to welcome you to shadow era and I'll be answering your questions.

Chat- In PvP matches you may press "Enter" to chat with other players. You may also type in "OFFER DRAW" in capital letters to offer a draw for what ever reason (usually a bug happens or something).

PvP1- Quick Game matches you up with an opponent near your ranking. Custom Game is there to set up a match with a specific player via the use of a password. If no password is set up, it becomes a quick match. Custom Games are also non-ranked.

PvP2- It helps to have some sort of deck ready for PvP before you start playing it. But you don't really need all the cards to enjoy it. If you really are interested in getting more cards place your email you used for your account in this link for some free crystals from Wulven (the creators of shadow era). http://game.shadowera.com/bonus.php

PvP3- Its matched up by your ranking.

AI Games- This was a feature that was never added and the site has yet to be updated for a long time. This does not occur.

Hopefully this helps, and again, welcome to Shadow Era. Feel free to ask more questions if you're still confused about anything.

I'm fairly new too but I believe I can answer some of your questions. First, for the chat, I've never seen an in game chat. For PvP, when creating a game, I've always just clicked quick game, but I believe if you create a game your rank won't change? The game will put you up against people of relatively similar rank, if you have a low rank you will not be put up against someone ranked in the 300s, at least it never happened to me. And I don't believe the AI Games reward with cards, just cash and exp

Just to be clear, your rank won't change if it is a custom game. By that, I mean you had a player enter the game by entering in a password. If you simply created the custom game without a password, it will be considered a quick match and therefore is ranked.

Sorry if that seemed direct, I just don't want confusion to occur lol.

Following up on some of the things Demnchi already mentioned:

    - You can also click on the hero icon on located at the top corners of the screen to bring up the chat window.
    - The "Offer Draw" feature was initially added to get out of games where it gets stuck in a turn forever due to a bug. You do not have to type it in capital letters though as Demnchi said. Will work fine lower case. Haven't seen many instances of this bug in this version though so maybe it has been resolved already.
    - PVP rewards in gold and exp will increase as your rating increases so the more you play PVP and get better at the game, the more money and exp you will get for winning in PVP. Max gold and exp per game won is 50 and 200 respectively.

I didn't know you could hit enter on the PC version. We both learned something today

Depends on what your looking for.

You could buy another mage deck for more copies of the mage cards you need.

Buy an Elemental Starter and sell it for a good amount of gold.

    Buy a booster.

Does elemental starter sell more than other decks? If so, how come?
