New Human Card suggestion to balance Shadow Font

Shadow Font creates a lot of extra tempo for shadow heroes and allows the stringing of shadow powers, yet there is currently no answer for this in humans. This new card would hopefully help bring balance to the meta. Given the existence of shadow font, it would not be overly powered. For example, it would be tough to decide between it & other penalty cards like blood frenzy. Rogues, on the other hand, could benefit from extra SE & might be raised to a usable class. As a very counter-able item (unlike Shadow Font), the new card could be shrieked, destroyed arms'd or misplaced.

    Card type: Human Item
    Name: Soul Flare Charm
4CC: "At the start of your turn, your hero takes 1 damage and gains 1SE."

Interesting idea. I kinda like it. It might be too powerful as the meta stands, but if Radiant Sunlight were buffed and given the fact that it's easy to destroy, it might make some interesting gameplay occur.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you want to "balance" shadow font, where is shadow's balance for retreat? Just because one side has an ability that you cannot counter doesn't mean the meta is unbalanced.

    How about this:
    Card type: Shadow Item
Name: I'm Not Scared (aka "F you retreat")
Ongoing: If retreat is used on your ally, next ally you cast has haste.

This way you can still use retreat on your own ally, you can destroy item before casting retreat... "so it would not be overly powered"

Pretty funny Helio... but I'm sure the game developers would never make one card for the sole purpose of countering the other...

Shadow Font and Radiant Sunlight have very similar artworks, like two pictures in different moments: they are born to be counterparts...

They might have been born to be counterparts, but one grew up to be useless and the other awesome.

It's pretty damn funny that shadow decks get Shadow Font and Shadowspawn which are both very useful, And humans get stuck with Radiant Sunlight. Kinda pointless as anything other than a card used after you use your own shadow ability so you dont get drained. But at the same time draining 2 shadow energy won't do much, you would have to have at least 2-4 in a deck and change your whole battleplan. A good idea instead of this card would be, cost 2-3, effect the opposing hero or both heros don't gain any shadow energy for 1-2 turns (even if SF is used).

Shadowfont needs a nerf? That's whatcha saying?

Human have Sandworm we get a goblin. Humans have awesome 3cc allies in Jasmine who can gain board control alone and Aldon the Brave seen him with Kings Pride and a war banner up?. A 1cc that hits ya right away (seen the little trick you humans do with retreat and that?) a dude that dies and give you and only you two cards another who'd die for your ally and that ally comes back even sexier! Then there's this Aeon guy with crapola amount of stamina. A sandworm that doesn't die (said that) a sexy chick who pulls items out your grave a dude who cant be defended a chick who cant be attacked. Some humanoid that steals ya attack some chick that does the same. Is it ok if we have something to keep your heros from smashing us round 4? We share in your pain because um we lose exactly what you lose. Personally defender trumps protector because drop 3 Bridgettes and aldon makes everyone a star. But Immah nood.
