    New player seeking advice.

Hi everyone. I am a new player just looking to get a better feel for the game itself and the community of players. I have scanned the forums so I have a basic understanding of the community as a whole.

So here goes, I started with an Eladwen deck. I know, I know. If I had known then that so many people had expressed frustration with it I would have made a different choice. I do not however wish to reset my account.

So, I am just getting to the point where I can think about investing earned gold and crystals in new cards or even a theme deck. So my questions are these, what are your opinions of the various theme decks/ which direction should I go if I want to abandon Eladwen? Also, should I just wait until the full set is released with the update before investing.

I am leaning toward waiting because the tactics of the game will be altered by the added cards. So what do you think?

im pretty sure when you reset your account it just resets your cards not your gold or shadow crystals.

I thought it said it reset those.... In any case the question then becomes; what are the virtues of the different starting heroes?

I recommed sticking with whatever you have till the update, hopefully this weekend. Analyze the impact on you and if you want to, reset then, or still stick with it. That also goes for gold and SC's. Unless you want to buy 1-2 cards or something.

    Hi Kingedhorn,

Good that you did your research before making a decision! I didn't realise that they hadn't yet released all 200 cards and bought 15 booster packs
Was a bit of a surprise ending up with 9 Bad Santa's!!

My starter pack when I joined was a hunter and I couldn't even beat the first AI deck (admittedly I only tried 4 times before caving and going ahead to buy more cards!!)

Anyway, I ended up with a Shadow Mage deck for a while and until I joined the forum couldn't understand why I was quit on 4 out of 5 games - so back to the drawing board I created a Zalador deck which I actually enjoy playing and really only get quit on now by Frostmire decks when they don't get the starting hand they want.

To prevent this post getting any longer I am going to summarise - I would recommend waiting for the next update for the extra cards (you could just buy one of the other starter decks in the meantime if you really wanted to switch) - on the other hand, I don't regret prematurely buying the boosters I did as its been fun creating decks to try at the games current stage, just means I'll have to invest a bit more when the new ones come out

I know this is a self-serving topic so this will be the one and only time I bump it. Any other opinions on my original topics?

    Oh and Bump!

I don't see much reason to invest early rather than wait for v1.24 to unfold. It'll drastically change the horizon so your investment may become moot. I'd wait before making major purchasing decisions.

Personally, I would maybe invest in a new basic deck now and then get boosters when all 200 cards are there. I would avoid hunter decks right now though maybe try out a Warrior deck it all depends how much you really want to try something else out before the update is released
