Hello Pete,
I am very interested in joining. I am a newcomer to SE but have had plenty of CCG experience with years of MTG and WoW CCG. I realize that ratings dont mean much but when active I was ranked in the top 5 in constructed, limited, and teams in MTG in the state of VA. I have wanted to get back into MTG but there are no local stores to find a strong enough play test group and I stumbled upon SE and was pretty happy with it. I do own 4 copies of most cards with the exception of the ever elusive Soul Seeker lol.

Unfortunately we are no longer an application guild, but an invite guild.

Don't worry though, we do keep an eye out for good players with well thought out deck ideas/feedback.

I also wanna just add that we are also watching your activity on this forum as a gauge of your (potential) capabilities.

We do this in a variety of ways. Some A1 members examples at this forum:

He-man: write articles and runs the A1 Academy.
Myself: creates and post new 30 card decks that are competitive and fun for all to use/play.
Soothslyr: In-house priest player expert providing expertise at the "Priest Tactics Forum" thread.
GondorianDotCom: runs and manages SE leagues, ladders and tournaments.
Blanketeffect: Expert theorycrafter providing deck construction ideas/advice.

And of course, the rest of the A1 members also provide insightful advice to help fellow members/newbies at this forum. We have experts for every hero.

And hence, if you just troll or lurk at this forum, we are unable to gauge your skill accurately.

Also, providing questionable or sub-standard advice to newbies regarding deck strategies, card choices, etc will also affect our appraisal of your abilities.
