Defeat, Defeat

Rate this Entry
After a promising start my Boris Weenie Rush Deck got clobbered badly a few times in succession. Twice to a DarkClaw who played without any Allies. His Evil Ascendant and Rabid Bite hurt me, his Lone Wolf kept him healthy, and his ability plus Teeth hid him and hurt me further. I also got beaten by a Moonstalker, and outraced by a Logan. Now, no doubt the deck is suboptimal, but I also noticed that my gameplay isn't great either. Many times during my turn I found myself thinking: "that was not the best way to proceed". The common turn-by-turn micromanagement and mechanics will hopefully improve with practice.

Meanwhile I've replaced my Blakes with Smashing Blows, and am considering the position of the Kris-es, and the Extra sharps.

Current rating: 151 and going down

Edit: At least there are more players (and not the weakest) who have trouble against a DarkClaw no-allies deck. Makes one feel better (a little bit).

Yeah, I tried a Boris weanie rush deck the other day and could not get it to work. I don't think this is viable with the current cards.

Thanks for the comment! Hm, doesn't sound too promising. I'll stick with Boris for now, but will depart somewhat from the Weenie Rush aspect after another terrible loss against an ally-less DC (see today's post).
