    Greetings!

    This Blog is meant mainly to keep track of different decks and strategies, and also of my progress (if any). I'm new to the game, have some (but not much) MtG experience from way back, and am pretty impressed by the format and development of this game.

    After trying the AI a few times with the starter deck, I spent some dough and got most cards needed for a warrior deck. The plan is to stick with a warrior deck for a while, get used to the mechanics, the different opponents, and after a while switch to a different class of hero.

    Well, here goes: my very first deck that I put some thought into! It's a Boris rush deck:
    1x Boris

    4x Birgitte
    4x Kris
    3x Blake
    4x Jasmine
    3x Aldon
    4x Tainted Oracle

    4x Blood Frenzy
    4x Extra Sharp
    2x Enrage
    4x Jeweler's Dream
    3x War Banner

    For a total of 40 cards

    The strategy is quite primitive: to get as many allies out as quickly as possible and start pounding right away. All cards are 4cc or cheaper, so we need help in the Firepower and in the Card drawing department:
    - Extra Sharp, Aldon, and War banner increase Firepower
    - After sacking 4 cards in the first 4 rounds you can play any card, and with JD it's often possible to continue for quite a while without further sacking
    - Birgitte and Jasmin are for the Big Bad enemies, Birgitte also to protect Blake
    - Tainted Oracle is there for the extra cards it generates

    Possible changes:
    - Crippling Blow to deal with weapons/armor
    - Sandra instead of Oracle, because opp is likely to have more resources than we
    - Bad Santa for more cards

    I'll be playing this for a while, unfortunately not enough time to put in serious amounts of play. But the idea is to get this primitive strategy mastered and tuned, experience its limitations and then move on.

    Current rating 160, but < 10 PVP matches played

      Hey, mag ik je nog een paar tips geven? Volgens mij heb je je deck inmiddels al wat veranderd, maar toch.

      Doe er 4 retreat! Bij voor meer board control, zo kan jij je allies op het bord houden terwijl de ander weer een extra ronde moet wachten voordat hij zijn nieuwe ally can gebruiken. 4 Cripling blow erbij helpt ook voor board control, een onmisbare kaart. Doe er nog maar een paar allies bij die wat meer hp hebben, ik raad je 2x Raven en 2x Aeon aan. Deze allies zijn beter bestand tegen summoner abilities en spells als fireballs. Verder moet je je afvragen of 4 allies die 1 resource kosten niet genoeg is. De tainted oracle is niet zo hard nodig, omdat je met blood frenzy al meer kaarten krijgt dan de gemiddeld hero. Extra sharp zo ik er ook uithalen, dat is nogal een dure kaart voor wat ie doet. Daarnaast heb je meer dan genoeg buffs met KIngs Pride, war banner en Aldon.

      Retreat, and Cripling blow are two cards that every warrior should try to work into their deck somehow.
      i hope its ok, but ill post a version of my own Boris deck for you (although this does not have the best anti-DC cards but its something that you can tweak to your hart's desire :P)

      3x Puwen Bloodhelm
      2x Erika Shadowhunter (instead of Aeon that RB mentioned ..he is to easy to get rid of for a 6 drop imo)

      2x Warbanner
      2x Smashing Blow
      2x Enrage
      3x Crippling Blow
      4x Blood Frenzy
      4x Retreat
      2x King's Pride
      2x Jeweler's dream

      There you have a whole lot of Low-Mid-High Cc allies and alot of utility cards.
      i put Jewelers dream in there just to get that resource refresh..it can be a life saver

      Fellow country men! Thank you ever so much for your constructive comments. My deck had already changed quite a bit from that first post, and was already a bit more well-rounded, but still nowhere near the nice deck Wyborn just posted.

      I will give this a try for sure! That said, it was also useful to try a really limited strategy to get acquainted and also to actually experience where it goes wrong. I was kind of hesitant (or just too stubborn ) to take one of the decks on the forum as starters. Maybe not the right decision, ah well. Rating is not all-important to me, having interesting games matters more (famous last words! )

      To be honest i dont realy care about rating either!
      im just having fun and thats what matters to me ..i like being part of the community and contributing to it.
      my rating goes up and down every once in a while when i try about new decks in QM its alot of trial and error
      my next deck build project (since my Zhanna was a success) is going to be either a rogue or a hunter ..im not sure yet

      and keep updating here ..its a great read
