In case anyone is actually thinking there's a change coming to the Amber Rain card, the answer is no. Amber Rain was locked down when Call of the Crystals was printed. Her ability on the card list page is her current ability and will be forever.

We will revise the wording of some CotC cards at some point to make them clearer and consistent with DP onwards, but they will not be functional errata. (Consider it like localizing the language from fairly decent English to very good clear English. They mean the same thing but the latter is more intuitive and doesn't need as many Card Ruling threads about it.)

Interesting - so this would presumably lead to a reprint of the existing cards (unless it is digital-only), which raises the question: If you're open to a re-print anyway, why not take that opportunity to make other changes to the function of the cards?

It's just a new language, and likely won't be printed. The cards mean the same and will play the same.

Her ability used to simply double the attack of weapons, as did Gwen's.

Gwen was better back then, Amber was worse.
