Red face Returning Player Looking for Removal

    Hello world,

Possibly making a comeback to the game. I'm a blue player from mtg as well as a fond affectionado of the wulven class of yore. Just updated my collection of wulven cards, and I must say things have sure livened up from the olden days of call of the crystals, honestly I'm not sure my old moon stalker deck will still be valid. Back in the day, if you built a shadow deck without shriek of vengeance you were an idiot. Is that still the case or is there another form of removal that's taken prominence? And outside of the all powerful removal, are there any other must-have neutral abilities/allies that I wouldn't be familiar with?

    Thanks peeps

BTW, updated Moonstalker deck is currently looking like this:

    Allies:
    4x Pack Wolf
    4x Wulven Scout
    4x Wulven Predator
    2x Bloodpack Shaman
2x Howlfang, Terror of the Vale

    Abilities:
    3x Now You're Mine
    3x Death from Above
    3x Shadowfont
    4x Bloodlust
    3x Shriek of Vengeance
    4x Wulven Rally
    4x Bloodmoon

Like I said, I play Blue. I'm a jerk that way.

Id remove pack wolf. There are better allies and Moonstalker ability allows you to get board back. I'd drop wulven rally and one or two shriek. Then add several more wulven allies. You have some good ones but some of the new ones are also good

Dread Wolf could be a strong improvement over the Pack Wolf, but unless things have changed 4-drop cards aren't really worth having as allues, they just don't bring enough use for their cos. The only other real option I see without going out of the paradigm is Bad Wolf, which is kinda meh for a three-drop, or really big drops which seem to have limited use in Wulven decks? The design behind the deck is to stall long enough to flood the board with 4-5 wolves and drop a bloodlust. I'm fine with the idea you mention, I'm just noting that it's a fairly significant change to deck tempo, though perhaps I should play with it.

If that is what you want, look at Overwhelm. Also 4cc allies are much better now than in CotC.

Drop the Bloodlust for Noctornal Advantage ... 3cc - Amps allies +1 and gives them ambush while removing stealth/hidden, and ambush helps bypass weapons, I find the added effect much more useful than 1 more point of added dmg. Awesome to play on a fellow MS that doesn't carry them ... you can hide ... they can't. great vs hunters that have into the forest and rogues - particularly lance.
Wulven Scout will help while you are learning the present meta, but there are allies I like more, and actually that card has gotten more useful as the current meta has evolved ... there are some really odd decks out there. I like how this meta has really changed the game, there is so much more you can do with the heroes. And just think soon they are gonna start adding the cards for the next expansion in installments Consider it karma's way of welcoming you back!
