Praxix ability targets heroes instead of just allies (not a bug)

Playing just now I noticed Praxix would use his ability to damage my hero when the card explicitly says the damage should only be dealt to allies:
"4SE: All players discard 3 cards from their decks. Target opposing ally takes X damage, where X was the number of allies discarded, to a maximum of 4."

Playing on PC in browser (firefox latest version) game version 2.850

Should be easy to reproduce, but our game setup was: Praxix vs Aramia. Praxix has Infinity Core and Bazaar in play. Aramia has Aldmor Conduit and Snow Sapphire in play.

I could never target hero with my praxix.
Maybe it's Brimstone Devourer damaged your hero?
Can you tell us your ign and your opponent's so we could check your game?

Did Praxix by chance have Brimstone Devourer in his deck too? you may want to watch the replay and check that as it can damage your hero under the right circumstances - when you have no allies on the board or your hero has less health than any of your allies - when Brimstone gets discarded from his deck. Just a thought since not one person has reported this as an issue in the last year to speak of.

But yes, I imagine Brimstone Devourer is the reason for the damage to the hero. I've never heard of anyone mentioning this before, so yeah.

yeah guys you're totally right, it was brimstone devourer. my bad, not really familiar with elemental allies. sorry for jumping the gun.
