Sync error report thread

This thread is for reporting sync issues only. In your report, please include your in-game name, your opponent's name, the time the match took place, and your time zone. Any posts that aren't reports for sync issues should be posted in another thread or through private messages.

Sometimes a sync error message does not pop up during the match and/or in the replay; in either case, you should still report the game for review. When the game detects a sync issue, the match will end in a draw and neither players' rating is affected.


What is a sync error?
A sync error is when your game is not synchronized with your opponent's because the two sides interpreted an issue different from each other so weird things happen after that. Examples of weird things include: cards attacking directly from your opponent's hand, heroes attacking without a weapon, cards played when player doesn't have enough resources to play it, etc.

Why do sync errors happen?
Usually, this is caused by some card or a combination of cards not working properly. When this happens, think of the game as holding a conversation with someone. If they suddenly say something confusing that you don't understand, you two are no longer on the same page because you now interpret each other's comments differently so things gets all confused. Sync errors may possibly be caused through exploits or hacks; although, this is not always the case and unlikely.

What should I do if I encounter a sync error?
In v1.28 an Offer Draw option, which has various uses, was implemented. If you notice a sync issue, you can try sending a "offer draw" message in chat and your opponent will be prompted with the request. If they accept, the game will end in a draw and neither player's rating are affected. While we continue to fix bugs causing sync errors and update the detection algorithms, some sync errors are not detected so using offer draw helps in these situations.
