I Don't Know If Everyone Knew This But I Just Recently Discovered That...

Rate this Entry
If you quit before a game ends, you lose more points from your rating than if you would if you let the game run its course.

I arrived at this conclusion because my rating went down 3 to 5 points whenever I quit early in the face of imminent defeat. But when I push through until I get the Defeat screen, I only lose 1 to 2 points.

Does this mean Shadow Era now penalizes quitters? Can anyone verify if my assumptions are correct? If yes then it's a great development for the game.

Ranking points, gold, and EXP are scaled based on consecutive wins/loses.

eg you will lose more points for your third loss Vs anyone than your first (if you both hypothetically at the same ranking each match). It is possible this is the reason you are noticing a difference. It also depends heavily on their rank compared to yours.

No worries, it may be possible still, but I doubt it.
