Tired of Mages? Ter Adun holds the answer!

Rating: 4 votes, 2.75 average.
Here's a deck that I am doing very well with at >300 ranking.

Ter Adun
4x Infernal Gargoyle
3x Plasma Behemoth
2x Fire Snake
4x Belladonna
3x Valiant Defender
4x War Banner
1x Enrage
4x Crippling Blow
4x Blood Frenzy
(30 cards total)

Resources:
Belladonna is almost always a resource. The second and subsequent copies of War Banner and Blood Frenzy are (obviously) resources, although occasionally I will resource the first War Banner depending on how things are developing. Crippling Blows and Valiant Defenders can be resourced in the early game. Try not to resource more than one Plasma Behemoth, and almost never resource Enrage.

Gameplan:
Get Blood Frenzy drawing you cards ASAP, unless the opponent was kind enough to play a Bazaar. Infernal Gargoyle + War Banner gives people a lot of trouble. Your goal is to get a Plasma Behemoth on the board long enough to activate, if you can do that you probably win the game. Depending on what's going on, sometimes it is correct to play Valiant Defender on turn 4, even without any other allies in play, just so you can safely run a Behemoth out there on turn 5.

Mention it's a 30 card deck. Don't make lazy people like me do more math than I want to ^^.

Honestly I think it should be assumed that a deck is 30 cards, with the onus on the writer to mention if the deck deviates from that, but sure, I'll make a note of it.

Yeah, but that's the opinion of people like us who prefer 30-card decks. Other people might prefer a different number so it's easier if people just put what the card total is. And I'm trying to give you a hard time ^^.

    Hmm.. got me thinking.

Fire Snake x2 necessary? Seems like there might be a better choice for those two cards.

    Thanks for sharing.

I don't really want extra copies of any of the non-4-ofs, I've found. At one point I had 4x Fire Snake and 4x Brutalis, but I kept pruning them down and pruning them down, because most of the time they're just awful. Occasionally Fire Snake is good if you're going first and play snake-frenzy-war banner and catch an opponent's Blake with it, but usually I don't play the snakes until midgame when I have a spare resource (a much more common line of play would be something like frenzy-gargoyle-banner+snake)

That makes sense, because otherwise I wouldn't play the Fire Snakes either. Interesting idea. However, I wish Ter Adun's ability only cost 3 resources.

Loving this deck. Reached Level 7/Ranking 300+ thanks to it. Blood Frenzy and Crippling Blow are key cards in this deck.

The only problem I have with it is that Ter Adun's ability isn't very clear in its wording. It says ITEMS, but sometimes you can destroy ABILITIES too. It's a bit inconsistent, and Kyle should work on this.

    Thanks for posting this!

Cool. I made almost identical deck a few days ago and briefly got in the top 20 with it but then I lost a couple games and after that I started fooling around with other deck ideas (and subsequently lowered my ranking). I was getting decked more often than I liked and I've since changed mine around a bit. Now I'm playing with 4x Serpents and 4x Bloodlust which are often key. Normally those aren't very good cards, but I almost always am able to answer their 2nd or 3rd turn ally with a buffed serpent. And since I have such good card advantage with Blood Frenzy it's just one more thing that helps control them until they're in top deck mode. Fun and satisfying deck but kind of slow. Oh and so far Wulven decks haven't been a problem for this deck either.

Oh yeah I think I've played a few games against an Izzy. I can't remember the games though. Were they any good?

I really like this deck, but to play you need 40 cards in multiplayer. I'm new to the game, so maybe it used to be 30. idk, lol. But i added 10 cards to this deck with success right off the bat. Here's my 10 card addition:

3X Hellsteed (for sacrifice and/or cannonfodder)
2X Brutalis (Small casting amount, good early allies)
2X Death Mage Thaddeus (Good for damaging protectors and preventing opponent from casting a ton of untouchable allies)
3X Shield Bash (Similar to Crippling Blow, instant damage, also sacrificial if you dont need it)
