Took a break to recharge.

First match of the night is vs Eladwen. Very polite player, so kudos.

Fairly standard match vs mage-type. Poor Carniboar took the sacrificial pain of being the first casualty, but until we get a 2/3 peep for 2cc in Shadowlands, he's the best we've fot for his range. Brutalis may live longer, but he doesn't hit as hard, and hard-hitters are a must to deal with the overflow of cheep human peeps they can dish out at 2-3cc.

Tossed Bad Santa the moment my Wulven Tracker hit the board with a life buff. No need to give a Mage more cards to play with, so into the resource pile it went!

No Supernova, so everything went smoothly. MCs for the only two peeps that came out I couldn't immediately sack. DD to opHero for all the rest.

Eladwen Frostmire - 8-4

    Second match vs Amber Rain.

Gag. Look, I know how much warriors and weapons decks LOVE the Dimension Ripper...but, seriously, you're only hurting yourself 60% of the time. First time the opHero used DR it gave me a weapon and armor instant kill that cost 1cc less than my in-hand Acid Jet. Buh-bye DR, oh, and I still have my own meta too!

Dominated the board. By the end I had 9+ peeps out there, and one of those peeps was his own.

Rethink the DR. Sure, it gives you card draw...but it gives me stuff, too. And sometimes your stuff is WAY better meta than my own.

Thirteenth Round vs Amber Rain - 9-4

    Third match vs Serena

Double ugh. 4 peeps throughout the game is no way to win. Plenty of meta for everything thrown my way...but without allies to exploit that opening...

It was a hard match and a good one, but it does show that even with 18 allies in the deck of 39 draws, you can still get a straight run of abilities for a long time.

Fourteenth vs Serena Thoughtripper - 9-5

    Fourth match vs Gravebone

Life Infusions for the win. You need a lot of practice and forethought in picking who to buff and when to do it to play this deck right. A poor choice will often lead to defeat, so practice, practice, practice! Especially vs mage decks. If you can get even two peeps out with health simply too high to one-shot, mage decks slow down. All their multi-kill card are 4cc to play, which is simply too much to pay and put out the necessary numbers of peeps to slow you down. Add in your Hero buff and Life Infusion and the opHero simply cannot generate enough kills to keep you from dominating the board.

Fifteenth Round vs Gravebone - 10-5

Final match of the night was...to my great surprise: Baduruu!

...I was shocked to see him. Wary too. There's a lot of negativity about Baduruu, but he isn't someone you take lightly, especially once he gets to 5cc cards and has the ability to pull out a weapon for free. Doing that means he can drop a 5cc ally, and a powerful weapon in the same turn, where usually you would get the one or the other.

I don't think this was a tuned deck, though. Started with a 50+ deck against me, and he dropped after T6. Overconcentration on weapons might give a really bad hand, and with 50+ he might have gone too far into item specs.

Round Sixteen vs (Surprise) Baduruu - 11-5
