Greetings and an idea

Hello guys,

I am a newbie to the game but really like the community, the game mechanics and the visuals of the game.

I just wanted to say hello to everybody. I will be very happy if you will add me as a friend in the game. My in game name is: d4dy (not same with forum name)

By the way I have an idea as well. Please correct me if it has been done before.

What do you think about runing an epic war.

- I mean at least 2 groups will group under a banner of a king.

- And a dungeon master will run the game on a board. (the mechanics and the map will be simple as shadow era! I will work on the details if you find this interesting)

- for 1-1 fights we will put rules and in a time bound manner the two enemies have to fight against each other and report the result to the DM (dungeon master).

- DM will show the results on a map daily basis and on the other side a ROLE PLAYING will continue.

- I plan to use a hex based map like a civ map

Welcome to the forums. There was a tournament run similar to this before, but I can't remember the name of it or I would link it for you. But that doesn't mean you can't do another.

Yeah i remember a torunament like this, but just like nizaris said it doesn't mean that you can't run another.

It would be impossible for me to organise an event like this on my own.

By the way do you think that if we put a reward to the wining team, can we increase the attendance? and what will be a meaningful reward?

Always a reward will make ppl take part of your idea.
The reward must be big if you're planning a huge event, you can always ask wulven for sponsor.

Hi there, welcome to the forums.

Your proposal is good and fairly decent, but it will be very time consuming and you need to have very committed participants (due to some might go AWOL). In the mean time, before jumping the gun, I suggest you to visit the "Organised Play" section and get a feel of the many tournaments which are going on right now.

Other than that, enjoy yourself in the forums and in Shadow Era.

If I were to vote, I would vote for "Maybe some time in the future, but not now."
