Format: Conquest, this is a commonly used format across different games. A detailed overview of the rules is below.
Each player will submit 4 different decks with different heroes. 3 heroes to be used in one portion and a 4th for another. Players must specify which deck they wish to use only in the 4 deck portion at time of deck submission.
At the start of each round both players choose a hero from their opponents pool they wish to ban for the round. Players will enter an unrated game with this hero loaded to reveal their ban choice simultaneously.
With the rest of the decks on their pool the players will play until one player has won with each of their decks (best of 3 games during 3 deck portion and best of 5 for 4 deck portion). Once a player wins with a deck they can't use it for the remainder of the round.
Tournament will be double elimination and all deck submissions will be closed until the tournament concludes, then will be released.
Example:
In Round 1 everyone begins in the Winners Bracket. Player A and B are matched against each other. They bring the following decks:
Player A: Baduruu, Aramia, Zaladar, Lance
Player B: Baduruu
Player A bans Baduruu
Player A: Baduruu
Player B: Aramia
The players can bring any of their 3 non-banned heroes into game 1. Lets say Player A bring Zaladar
The loser's bracket works similarly, but the players bring only 3 heroes and ban 1. They play a best of 3 with only 2 heroes, repeating a hero only if they first lose with that hero.
Rules:
- In the case that a player misses check in, all seeds below that player will be moved up 1 spot.
- Game 1, 3, and 5 will be random start, with games 2 and 4 starting with the opposite of 1 and 3.
- Games tied are replayed with the same player going first and same decks
- Disconnected games count as win for the opposing player unless they agree to replay
- ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL. Any excessive arguing or complaining can and will result in being removed/muted from the tourney chat and removed from the tournament. Any issues should be brought up via PM.
- Prolonged, unannounced inactivity may result in a round loss or being removed from the tourney. Set up matches with your opponent quickly to ensure that the tourney continues smoothly. Communicate with the TO if you are having issues contacting your opponent.
- In the event of tournament rules (fta rules, playing a deck already lost or a banned, etc) are broken, it is an automatic game loss, unless the opponent agrees to replay.
- If a player disconnects during a game, then they must take the game loss unless the opponent agrees to replay. Sync errors should be replayed with the same conditions (fta, deck composition, etc.)
- Repeat warnings will not be given for misgivings in chat. Light trash talk is to be expected, but slander, badgering, and harassment in chat will be met with your removal from the chat and / or event.
