    Homungous Garth

Hello everyone, by popular demand here is my new take on Monster Garth for LL. It’s huge and full of homunculi, get it? At the beginning of the season I was sitting at a rating of about 350 with this and then a Zhanna deck (which I'm probably put up in a month or so). I'm not sure if it's quite as strong in the current meta, but it's still pretty good and fun to play.

    It's posted with a write-up at shadowera.net:

I'm sure it could be improved, so feel free to leave comments and tweak as you see fit. Enjoy!

I hate that this deck is good! It shouldn't work!

Seriously, I played it a bunch and really like how it goes. Seeking with Wisp and General is a key component of them deck.

The only card that didn't pull its weight for me was Clockwork Soldier, the SE cost was to rich for my taste. I think I would play a number of Garth's Concoction in their place. I have only played the original list though.

Overwhelm blowouts are the best. Nobody sees it coming. (full disclosure: I got totally pwned by bob's Overwhelm the first time I played against him)

Loved playing my net decked version of this. I added 3 2cc allies because I kept losing board. And removed the location, mostly because I'm sure I wasn't using it right.

It depends what you mean by 'better'. Generally slimmer garth beats monster garth in garth v garth battles. But monster decks have other strengths over slim ones. This deck does better vs control decks, not as good vs aggro compared to a standard garth deck. There are other monster garth decks that could still do very well vs aggro as well. Just a matter of emphasis.

Thank you for sharing. Does this deck take more skill to operate than an average 40-45 card Garth deck? Is it possible for a new player to use it with success?

There's certainly a lot of little tricks, if you don't know them, you'll make less then optimal plays, which may put you in difficult positions. I do think it's a fun deck to learn, though.
