Keith's IRC Command Guide.

Yo guysssss!
This guide will cover some of the most used COMMAND.
First of all i recommend to check his guide here -------> Preybird's Guide on getting onto IRC.

Before we start, I recommend to REGISTER your nick.

Nick REGISTRATION.

*** IRC does not allow symbols in nick***

First log in with your user-name, usually your forum name.
After that you have to REGISTER it.

To do so type:

/MSG NickServ REGISTER <YourPasswordHere> <YourEMailHere>

When you do it, if you enter a REAL Email, you should get an instant mail with a command to type:

/MSG NickServ VERIFY REGISTER <YourNickHere> <TheCodeInTheMail>

If you type this correctly your nick will be REGISTERD and no one aside of you will be able to use it.

When you enter again in the channel you want, in this case it is #shadowera, you will be asked to identify your nick:

/-NickServ- This nickname is registered. Please choose a different nickname, or identify via /msg NickServ identify <password>

To do so just type this:

/MSG NickServ Identify <YourPasswordHere>

When you do this youll get this message:

-NickServ- You are now identified for KeithStar

With that said, I think ill start with the COMMAND list.


Command #1: /Join

The most used COMMAND is /join.
This will allow you to Join any channel you want:

-KeithStar [HereThereWillBeYourIPAndTheServerName] has joined #tournament

Command #2: /Nick


This is a command that let you change Nick when you are logged in in a channel.

KeithStar has changed nick to KeithyBoy

Command #3: /Me YourMessageHere

This is by far my fav command, this will make you post on the main or in the query (PM) chat in third (3rd) person.

* KeithStar yawns

Command #4: /Quit [YourMessageHere (optional)]

This command will disconnect you from all the channel youre currently in, so be carefull with this one.
You can also type a message after this for everyone in those channel to read.

ERROR: Closing Link: HereThereWillBeYourIPAndTheServerName (Quit: KeithyBoy Has Left)

Final Words: this guide, as I already said, cover only SOME of the most used command so if I missed something please post it and Ill be happy to update.
