    Rekindled Rebirth 4.99 Card Spoilers!

Now that the 2024 World Championship has been decided, we are all looking to the future! And the future is very bright.

We have several cards in testing as well as some Tribute cards to catch up on, so - without further delay, here are the first 2 spoiler cards in the new upcoming set. As always, remember, that cards may change during testing so, take this with a large handful of salt!

Lets start with something BIG and something small.

First there is Nautilus the Sea Monarch! Master of the Sea, the bane of all pirates, she lurks beneath the waves and devours those fleeing from the wreckage of the ships she sinks! If no ships are present, no worry - Nautilus also enjoys blasting heroes with ice to get them to a nice edible temperature before biting their heads off! So great is her power, that only the most powerful dragons can remain in her presence. All others must flee out of respect when she enters play!

Tired of being frozen by the Voice of Winter or the Snow Sapphire? What about those pesky Diffusion Gates? Wouldn't it be great if you could disarm traps temporarily so you could get your allies onto the field? Well that's why you need to Subvert Security! This is going to be a meta changer for sure and may be an auto-include in many Rogue decks.

Stay tuned for more spoilers in the days to come!

Nautilus should be a nice help for one of the big complaints people have been having with ships/crew, that being the whole thing of crewed allies just returning to the hand, many people not liking that feature of ships, so this should help, hope we see an equivalent for Humans. Also, hopefully the wording of "of 5cc or less" is changed, should be "of cost 5 or less" to keep with current other wordings.

Subvert Security is nicely flavorful, I'm not sure if people will use it though, at least initially. Rogues already have a good item destruction card in Stop! Thief!, so many people I think will continue to just use that initially. Benefit of Subvert Security though is that opponent can't just summon a new copy of the item on the very next turn, this actually just makes them sit there with the item doing nothing for a bit.

Today's spoiler theme is Ally Hate! What is the best thing to do with an ally that is too large to kill? Well, you can have them assassinated and take their place of course! Dolios the Skilled Imposter will seek out your enemy's most powerful ally, take his place and hide the body where it will be difficult to find. Moreover, if they don't find him among their ranks and remove him, he will continue to operate undercover until they do! This guy has a lot of enemies and draws a lot of fire too, so its possible he will also take a blow intended for one of your more costly allies as well as his final act of courage!

Another thing you might want to do with an enemy ally is, kill them off and raise their body to fill your ranks! Any skilled necromancer can do this - as long as he has his trusty Necromancer's Orb and can arrange to have an friendly undead ally strike the death blow on their target! Nothing is more gratifying than killing your enemy's hero with his own Kairos or Eriss right?

I'm kinda confused as to how Dolios is supposed to work. When he's on your field, each opponent's turn he replaces the highest cost guy on their field/crew, then if still alive by end of turn he returns to you to do it again? Also, uses the word "discarded", what happens if what he replaces is a Reactorary or Ozonf? Do they just return again? Most things only discard from deck or hand, so confused as to how discarding from the field/crew would work.

Orb is cool, seems like an easier Kiruth Devotee.

Good question. Dolios is likely going to change to a 2/4. We originally used "discarded" because you can't "kill" an ally in a ship. We are probably going to replace this language with "placed in the graveyard". This will ensure that Steadfast allies will resist his effect. Also, we are testing him with a randomly selected target ally rather than the most expensive one as we think this will keep him from being OP. In any case, he is going to be a lot of fun, and even with his original wording - and the ability to kill off the most expensive enemy ally, he was much harder to use than his card sounds. With these adjustments, I think he will be a nice addition to many decks, but not an auto-include by any stretch of the imagination.

Today's spoilers begin with another Dragon Monarch. This one is my favorite! A loner on the battlefield in most cases, Aetherius can destroy the largest allies with a single use of his powerful swooping ability attack! But make sure the deck is clear because friendly allies too close to him will likely become victims of friendly fire! Like Nautilus, the lower dragons flee when they see Aetherius enter the battlefield. Aetherius can also turn his mighty swoop attack ability on enemy heroes with rapid strikes for a total of 6 damage between his ability and his claws!

The second spoiler today is the sinister Curse of Fury! With this simple support ability, the Mage can cause the enemy hero to take damage whenever the friendly hero takes damage. It can even combo with Nova for a nice 8 damage in a single turn!

Curse seems cool, a nice deterrent at the very least from your opponent wanting to hit you with stuff.

Aetherius is just plain stupid. Like, are you effing serious? 0cc to kill ANY ally and damage its neighbors? Like, how does that ability not cost something or have some restriction on what cost ally you can kill? That's gotta be an error, right?

It kills any ally, but damages YOUR adjacent allies. Not those adjacent to the target. Aetherius is a loner.

Hmmm, can't help but feel like the wording could be clearer then. Wording definitely makes it feel like it damages allies adjacent to what it kills. Could maybe change to "0cc: Target ally is killed and allies adjacent to Aetherius take 3 fire damage, or target opposing hero takes 3 fire damage."

At least it's not quite as broken if that's the way it works, still 0cc to kill anything is kinda wild.

Tonight's Spoilers begin with the first of 2 upcoming enhancements to the once great Twilight Tribe! Artista the Twilight Guardian is here to make sure those precious lifebringers can withstand the assaults they will no doubt be subject to. Each time a fellow Twilight ally is damaged, Artista will take that damage for them, until she can't any longer and fades into the cosmos. 2 Lifebringers and an Artista on the board will surely make them all difficult to remove, even for the most skilled mage or warrior!

In keeping with the theme of revitalizing the tribes, our second spoiler for tonight is Domhnall, the Felinian Guerrillero! Just what the kitties have been waiting for, Domhnall can direct the Felinian forces from the shadows and help put an end to the tyranny of the Wulven forces in the wild!
