So, this is for sure not a catch all, but SOME older Androids that can't handle the Play Store version of Shadow Era 4.98 have had success running this retro-generated version. It has all the same content, but targets Android 13 and the older asset delivery system.

If your phone can't run the Play Store version AND won't un the retro version, you just need new hardware. Its not our fault, google made us update it. The upside is, the crash rate had gone down significantly since the new update so stability is way better for the majority of players.
