Downloading Mac version

I cant download the game because I get the following: extracting file 17/694 and it just does not move forward, its like frozen.

Is it possible to have a clear normal simple post on the official SE forum to install the new version for macintosh without having to use Telegram?
I am saying the new version because it is soo problematic, that I am still playing with the 4.50 version.
If it is not, then…*Anyway.

Had the same problem, sent a mail to Jonathan and this is his answer:

To get the Mac version to run, download it from this link:


http://cdn.shadowera.com/patcher/mac/ShadowEra.zip


to run it once it downloads, you have to open the terminal and type the following command:

xattr -cr (then drag the file into the terminal or type the path to the application)

The drag method is way easier. DO NOT run the launcher, just run the actual downloaded application (should start with the word "default").

(there is a space after the cr in the command you type)

I used it for the 4.6 Version and for every update since (you'll have to download each new version the same way)
