STANDARD tournament rules except for what follows.
SLUGFEST XIV will be a BEST OF 7. Thats right, a best of seven.

You will bring 4 heroes. They must be 2 human and 2 shadow. This is locked (HEROES and DECKS). Meaning it must be the same 4 heroes and the same deck build for each THROUGHOUT the whole tournament. No sideboard.
Deck lists must be submitted through a google form and you only need to access the link in the following post to do it. As neutral part of this event the owner of the game, Jonathan Bjork, will collect all the deck codes. All the deck codes will be shared at the end of the tournament.

The HERO CHOICE for each player will be submitted in a post on forum after the first round.
Loading the wrong deck in whatever way will not result to an auto DQ.
If a player loads a wrong deck in whatever way, that player loses the current game and opponent player gets to choose what Hero is discarded among the ones available, like if that Hero/deck was used in that game.
FTA is kept like if that game was played.
Ps: the above rule DOES NOT apply in cases where someone loads the correct Hero but not a locked deck.
The TO won't be able to tell if it was mistaken and he does not encourage anyone to tech, thinking that it might lead to either a sneaky win or a single loss. If a player loads an altered/teched/non locked deck, then it remains a direct DQ from the rest of the tournament.
You must play all 4 heroes, in whatever order in the first 4 games. If there is a 5th, you can play any hero you chose. If there is a 6th game, you cannot use the one you played in game 5. If there is a 7th game, you cannot use the hero you used in games 5 and 6. NO EXCEPTIONS.

- The TO
The TO is A1 Otto7. A1 H1TACH1 will be responsible of the brackets and their shuffle, Jonathan Bjork will be responsible of the google form and the decks archiving, A1 Otto7 will support for fixing the issues. All communications must go through them for any questions of decks or possible cheating (@Othon_Manolakos on telegram). The TO and the TO's decisions are final
- DEADLINE
Deck submission will start the 30th of June and will end on Sunday the 9th of July 10pm gmt.
The tourney will start on Monday the 10th of July, when it’s all ready
If you have signed up but haven't sent deck lists by the deadline you are not even gonna make brackets' shuffling, in other words, instant DQ.
- When SLUGFEST XIV starts
Once the deadline has passed A1 H1TACH1 will gather the data, organize, and shuffle the brackets 5 times.
Brackets will be posted in SLUGFEST XIV telegram chat. Tournament starts at that very moment!
Remember this is a hero/decklock event, they cannot be changed after the deadline, so pick your best heroes and cards and may the best Slugfester win!
- Notes
Play fair and play well within the rules and there will be no problems. Problems will be dealt as swiftly as it can be and TO’s decision is final and binding. (Meaning you can complain all you want, but break a rule or bring bull crap drama, and you might just be out).
- The PRIZES

Free pet valued at up to $10 X # of participants for the winner and free pet valued at up to $5 X # of participants for the runner up

- MATCH REPORTING. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
The winner is responsible for posting the results. TO needs you to post heroes used by both players and in the same sequence as the games were played.

- CLARIFICATIONS
WHO GOES FIRST: random 1st game, 2nd game the other player goes first. Then random for the 3rd game and the other player for the 4th, etc. this is probably the best method since it cuts down on starting and stopping of games.
If no match is played in a round, the TO will make a decision based on all the info we have on who made the most effort to play. This decision will be final. No argument or complaining.
All rounds but round 1 will be 1 week long. Round 1 might be a little longer to allow possible reserve replacements to get a match in.
NO DEADLINE extensions. After pairings, you must contact your opponent in 3 days to schedule.
If you wanna be part of this great event try to arrange your match with your opponent, you have 1 week to do it.
The TO reserves the right to make changes and clarifications as needed. These will be announced.
- CONCERNING QUALIFYING FOR THE WC
- If a player already has a spot in the final WC 32, then the spot moves down to the second place, etc...
