I think implementing it would require putting everyone who backed the kickstarter in a special forum group and then giving big avatar to that group. Kickstarter backing was not tied to a forum account though. When the 2.85 release candidate is done, this is the kind of thing Kyle can get stuck into, so bump this thread then please.

What's this about special avatars? Is that in-game? Because I notice every once in a while I play against a player with a silver box around their avatar instead of the normal blue.
