Why Join WotBP?
Whether you are a newer player looking to break into the tourney scene or a seasoned veteran looking for a clique-free environment to train, you will find it within our halls. WotBP is a true brotherhood: a group of quirky, fun-loving, and dedicated Shadow Era players. We are committed to helping each member achieve his best. No political bullshit…no infighting…just mutual respect and good, clean competition. We train, fight and mentor each other, growing stronger both individually and collectively. You might find other guilds as talented, but are they committed to improving each and every one of their members?

Within our ranks you will find tournament champions, two world champions, many world championship contenders, master theoreticians, accomplished deck builders, multiple popup winners and a horde of hungry young challengers. Started by A1 Founder Padawan Pete, championed by decorated tournament veteran Raphael Majere, informed by the razor-edged theory of MistahBoweh, shepherded by the sage wisdom of Wreon, relentlessly trained by the merciless “Stick” of OgAusp, sculpted by a humble carpenter Oblio, protected by our resident IRC expert Mip, directed to glory by Meeklosh. When Meeklosh took a step back, Lightning Fury took us through 2 world champions, then Leviosablade answered the call and is now the current leader of WotBP.

When you join us, you gain access to the vast expanse of knowledge that WotBP has put together to help you improve. Our guild is organized into Warriors, Heralds, Knights, Guardians and Grandmasters. Newer players can choose to participate in our Player Development Program, designed to help you rapidly improve your game, we strive for greatness and to be ahead of the competion by providing training with master Theory classes, art of deckbuilding and intensity to prepare you to become a world class champion.

It has been a long journey thus far for me; and I hope so excited to see lots of activity always at our BP forums.

It's actually a great time to join us, if anyone's considering to join a guild.

In the recent past, we had a pretty strict criteria allowing only preferably quality candidates to join us. (Hence, as some of you might have noticed, BP tcsnider, BP MIP, BP Enalanel, BP TheSt4lker, BP Pandev, BP Zoolgar, etc, etc doing well at pop-ups, etc.)

But we also realized that RL sometimes takes over and it's painful to cut inactive members completely out just because they are busy for a while. Hence our current structure allows returning members to stay in Fighters Realm (still darn competitive!) and be inducted back into the Warriors Realm once they are willing and able to prove their worth.

There are, of course, Members who chose to stay in Fighters'. These players are more casual but would still like to play in tourneys, competition once in a while. All the members in Fighters and Warriors share the same War Room; whereby there is a huge collection of articles, decks, strategy, etc.

Let's just put it this way; despite me actively learning and playing, I probably have only learned about 60% of what's there.

And of course, our very own IRC chat room. Many people have commented that the IRC is quiet; well, the real secret is that, at least for the BP guys, we are talking at our own room, lol. Think of it like a group of guys over beer; sometimes it's not always about the SE games, tourneys, we chat about everything; our lives, our countries, culture, anything.

When asked about what BP means to me, I said what it said at the OP:

"SE is a game that is based on winning (who likes to lose?), but as a Guild, we need to look beyond that. I see WotBP as a great brotherhood, a warrior's clan – competitive and tough, but we leave no brother behind. We support and carry each other."

It was meant to be a 'off-the-cuff' comment and I was surprised that Oblio, wanted to use it, but that truly reflected what I feel about BP.

My role at BP is actually very small; in fact, that's the beauty of it. Because everyone's chipping in, everyone having a good time learning and playing and the Senior Members/Leaders don't have to do much to keep the Guild going and growing.

I am like a butler at BP forums, lol. Just being in the background, just ensuring the cutlery is placed right, the flowers are displayed in best manner in the vase, trimming off a stray thread off the carpet, etc. (And Raph washing the restroom, a BP-only joke/story)

I am being carried along by the efforts of everyone at BP. Some are great at starting threads/discussions, organizing BP-only friendly competitions, maintaining the IRC chat room, or contributing to our Player Development programs, telling jokes, etc.

Contribute in ways you know best. And enjoy the Brotherhood and camaraderie.
