I don't know how to address this but it seems increasingly common to face people with deliberately annoying delay decks who will sit there and wait out the countdowns before doing anything.
I used to float around 400 before the reset and now I can't get beyond 220s. People like this (and anyone with a delay deck) are wasting my limited gaming time and making this slog much worse. I love the game, but the people are ruining it.
Everyone has a different playing style, stall decks are part of most games, gotta deal with them. or just quit anytime you see elementals, take the loss and hope for a better matchup?Quote:

Players only have about 2 minutes for their turn so they will be force forfeited if they take too long. Also, if you're around the 200 mark, you may run into many newer players and being that they are—will take a bit longer to finish their turn.
As for players that purposely drag out the game, unfortunately, all games have their share of unsavoury characters. I guess if you look on the positive side, at least Shadow Era was more focused on the mobile experience and doesn't have instants and whatnot; because a game of Magic would be even more painful when faced against people that intentionally try to take long.

I make it a rule to not even start a PvP game in SE unless I have at least 45 minutes of clear time ahead of me. Most games run far shorter than that, but you can't rule out a matchup against an Elementalis player.
I also hope the devs can find a solution for those people who just close their browser/app when they're losing. I hate having to wait 2 minutes before I get the victory message.

For you to sit there for 10 minutes without anything happening, you have to be playing in v1.24 or v1.23 or something. Client-side timers were introduced awhile back so players shouldn't be waiting for more than ~2 minutes.
I was playing on the latest version released on the App Store (1.261). That was the very first time I had ever encountered anything beyond the normal ~2 minutes that you mentioned.

I've noted this down and have to review it more in-depth at a later time. At the moment, I can't think of why you would sit there for more than ~2 minutes. Was the program still functional? for example, you were able to change the camera angle and/or access the main menu after the 2 minutes?
Yeah, everything was functioning normally the entire time. The camera, options, and status buttons all worked as they usually do, it's just that for that entire time, nothing occurred.
I even dual-logged onto the browser client near the end to make sure the game was still going and it indeed was.
Ok, I've encountered this. The bug exists somewhere between the client and the server communication. What's happened, I believe, is something along the lines of:
You: End turn.
Him: Play.
You: Lose connection.
Him: End turn.
You: Reconnect.
I've seen it twice, and both times I was somewhere where the connection wasn't 100% stable. It looked to me like my client thought it was his turn, and the server never reminded it that it was my turn. I sat for ten minutes, then logged in on a different account and watched the match. The replay got all the way up to him ending his turn, and me starting my sacrifice stage, but on my client in the game, it was still his turn. It was still connected because at one point while waiting the connection went out again, and I got the wifi icon. When I moved back in range, it went away. After I saw the replay, I quit to the challenge menu, and the client watching the replay instantly showed the defeat screen.
The error seems to lie somewhere in the server communicating who's turn it is. The game was two days ago around 9.30-10pm GMT +1, against Lipps57, should anyone want to see if it gives you more info than I can.

Yeah this situation seems to be happening to me right now. I'm playing against Thor83, and it's show its his turn, but Thor83 is still connected because he is chatting.
I think he ends the game somehow, I got a defeat wen I was winning
We are aware of the issue where both players see it as being the other player's turn on their screen and the game is stuck. If it's been their turn for more than 3 minutes, you've likely encountered this problem and the only way to end the match at that point is for someone to leave first. With v1.28, you can send a "offer draw" message in chat and if your opponent accepts, the game will end in a draw and neither player's rating will be affected.
Please be aware that this can be caused by having an unstable network connection so if you're having this frequently, it may be an issue on your end. Until we have this fixed, consider playing on the computer instead of a mobile device and Wi-Fi instead of 3G; since these are generally more reliable with network performance.
