Seen or played any Epic Matches lately?

No one person can watch every match played in Shadow Era, but it would be interesting to have a big thread where people can talk about their favorite matches they've played or seen in recent history, and why they liked them.

I should note that I do have the ulterior motive of looking for good games to record as well :) If you would like your match recorded and commentated on, you'll need to include the day, player names, and heroes used - so we know what to search for ;) (I invite other content creators to pull from this list too, whether you're just getting started on commentary or a seasoned veteran at it) - but even if you don't want it recorded, I'm still interested in hearing about some of the epic plays you've seen or experienced lately and why you found them so exhilarating and fun to watch. *(and honestly, I wonder if I still have that old blanket santa-bomb video on one of my HDDs - speaking of exciting games :P)

Brown Rain (Banebow) vs TJ Reborn (Boris)

played about 1 day agao recomend a watch and maybe record it ?? :D

Sweet! Nice idea Alzorath. I'll mention some when they arise and are worthy. Can't remember any as of now.

Does a match where at one point I had 9 allies on board but 8 of them had 0 attack considered epic?
If so I have a recorded (but without commentary to sound)

BP chamthabo vs Zekuza

Though I lost, it is still my recent favourite game. Very intense and close game. Prop to my opponent's very interesting deck. I and my opponent even said gg, but my FFM successfully pulled out my last hope when I had exactly 3 resource left. On his last turn, he also had exactly 11 resource need for playing 4 allies. If only I have 4 assassination in my deck I might win.

Looked like it was a fun game to play, really good mid-game recovery - though it was a fairly straight forward win (he never really had you on the ropes before the flip, and that was quite the smashing you gave him after the halfway point :D).

I enjoy seeing interesting pairings :) - even if I can't think of how to commentate the match for a video, there's something fun about watching people have tight games or play really odd decks (especially on those rare cases where they seem to just flow perfectly)

Heh, I wouldn't mind taking a look at it, it really depends on the circumstance, if you had your opponent on the ropes, but they kept top-decking answers to shut down your board... would be pretty epic... still pretty cool to see some control plays though.

Darn :( - sounds like it would be a really fun game to watch, but it's unfortunately fallen off both of your histories - so I can't go grab it :(

saw it last night, it was pretty crazy, zekuza (moonstalker) kept flooding the board with allies, chamthabo (serena) kept clearing it. By the end they were both super low on health and practically decked.

Bobross vs BP Leviosablade from yesterday - I made a mistake at one point in the match (buffed an ally to 7 attack, rather than two to 6 and 5 - leaving me more open to mind control), and I think he got a bit unlucky, but it really shows what both heroes are capable of. It's really does not put me in a good light and I have no clue how I came up with the win, but it's pretty entertaining and you'd never think MS would come back from the hole it was in :-)

Was an epic match Baduruu Vs Loest. Down to the wire with 2 HP left and a Top deck by me.

Ok just had an epic one - went back and forth, I made a few mistakes in there, but it was fun and very crazy.

Well the match I mentioned is last in my history. Not sure if it'll still be there by the time you see this alzorath

Karniv04 - very neat match - my favorite was when you played Rapacious Vermin with 4 health.

Lol had no choice to get ou damage. I was dead either way if he drew burn

Had a great match the other day - Heidrek Rampant vs DementedWisdom. His Tala vs my new hammerless Amber build.

Went back and forth, I thought I had it nailed but I made a few mistakes and he pulled it back, I couldn't quite close the gate - came down to the last round as it so often does. Really good game and props to my opponent.

Same as with bobross's, I'll try to take a look at it in the morning to capture it :)

(The system I'm using is, if I can find it, I'll record it, and if I think I can do the commentation justice I'll to go back through and commentate it over the next couple weeks - provided another youtuber or video creator doesn't pick them up first :D)

I just rematched him today - different matchup, him on Vess and me on Serena (instead of the original one Garth vs Boris) I won this rematch, but I still think that first one is more interesting.

ICe e vs E2E Patjay, win with 1HP left. Good old Zaladar vs ressources denial Baduruu, both near 300 rating, :).

Heh, Keep 'em coming, while I can't promise to commentate them all, there's a lot of good stuff here (if I were to commentate every one that I have saved at the moment, I'd have 2 episodes a week into November :P)

Absolute nail biter. I was on the back foot the whole game but finally came back to win it from 2 life vs his 16. Did I mention I had blood frenzy in play and worse board position? Oh, and my SE stifled with curse of the aldmoor. Should be in my match history now.

What will be the titles? I know you've got Meltdown Madness, Deck Breakdown, and Trials

They'll release under the "Shadow Era Trials" series (They'll have titles reflective of the games, I'll also be including the game names in the tags) - currently the generic "Shadow Era #" series has replaced deck breakdown for SE (Deck Breakdown is going to be used for a different project)

I plan to also post links to them in this thread as well when I release videos captured based on suggestions from here :) (I'll update the original post with a list of links)

Girlonfire vs Zekion

I did manage to eke out the gg but we were both down to our last cards (both with 1 in the deck left).

He played Garth and did some very interesting things with road less travelled and of course used the coercion + final flourish on my Nathanias (ouch). It was about as fun as they come!

This was probably my third game as Boris - so haven't worked the kinks out of the deck yet. Would love to buy two more berserkers.

Sweet beans! Can't wait to watch them, more for the commentary :P

Merlin9910 vs PLIXSTER

Pretty nice comeback with an underused hero (nishaven) against a solid undead banebow. I'd like to see what people think about my nish build. It's a bit different from anything i've seen, but it's giving me good results! I might post it on the forums.

I haven't played against banebow much but with his healing and strong board control i think he's a pretty tough match-up for this deck.

Just watched an amazing 20 minute match as spectator between VIVIIIX and Brunoninho
definitely worth the watch.

Just had a great meltdown game against alexxis. It was a typically crazy meltdown game with random abilities and allies flying around. I had better draw and wiped the board with nova, but ended up going down to 2 health. I had to use amulet of conjuring a few times to dig for answers to just stay alive for one more turn. Eventually he stopped posing threats because he was top decking (although he could always draw any direct damage to win), but i was decking out and still had only 2 life. I managed to save myself from being pinged to death by running out of cards by looping boomerang and I pulled out the win.

Very close well played game indeed and props to my opponent

Another vs a very solid borris that just seemed to have answers for everything I did - great match with two (now) lesser used SF heroes

Not very epic but has very spectacular ending.
