I did :D and lost round 2 :( ;)
I wouldnt blaim anyone if every challenger chooses A1 to use shadow in part1. This is supposed to be the part that u get your big advantage over us. Then u get another big advantage by a specific choosing opp hero between 2 choices and make him face your best matchup of the Heroes u use, and at the final we have the advantage of teching against u in an "all or nothing" epic combat. But it is only one bo3 so anything can happen. If you are going to make captain crab change his sig you must be the ONE who's fate is to pull this whole thing out ;)
In what was an tense and epic matchup (for me anyway :)) Preybird has managed to overcome the first defender Finneri 2-0.
They were great games Finneri!
Well done preybird :)
I told you man. Have faith in yourself, you're a good player dude!
Well done PB :)
*went to watch the games*
Am I going to be starting soon? I need to go over some battle plans to be ready to Siege!
Edit: Scratch that, didn't see there were two competing.
Atomzed, I am awaiting the epic tale :)
Keen to find out who my next opponent is too!
@Ahmet The first game was sooooo close. I was on one health after my last Supernova and after Finneri filled his hand with Bad Santa, I closed my eyes in anticipation of the WBT or the DMT. Thankfully neither materialized. I was literally shaking. :)
just watched, came back.
PB for the win ;)
P.S. I love it when Supernova's animation actually works. (:
tell you what... if i am your opponent, you can pick human and i wont play lance :)
Yes preybird will come down to your write up :)
I still crafting Barcafan one....:)
Awesome! I'll be back to you very soon with my faction preference iClipse.
Sam is actually before Rayzie, unless the queue on second post is wrong.
The second post queue is a bit randomized now as I added people to it in different orders from the first closed siege page and this. From memory Rayzie is up. Don't worry, everyone will get a shot at it if they want one :)
Well if that's the case I should have been first after barca but no hard feelings there :)
Hi all,
I've decided I'd like to take on Shadow again :)
Let me know when you're available iClipse!
And let us know when the match is on :)
I won vs Preybird 2-0.
We played 3 games, and the first one was a draw due to a stolen Nova. Quite funny!
Anyway, gg's Preybird! I hope to challenge you again someday.
Epic games iClipse! I'll take you up on that challenge some day!
Wtzky and all of A1, thanks for a great event and letting me take part!
Sorry for the delay. Its a busy week.
TJ Barcafan (Zaladar) 0 - 2 A1 Flycheung (Lance)
2 very good matches between Barcanfan and Flycheung. Both players played superbly, all the decisions were spot on. I was amazed at the variety of cards Barcafan had: dark Flayer, Deathbone, Ghostmaker. However Flyc has the advantage bec of his draw engine: ill gotten gains. ESP the first match, he was able to keep drawing cards to cope with Zaldar ability and ghostmaker.
-----------
Note: Flyc avatar is Zhang Fei, 1 of the key battle generals in Romance of the three Kingdom. (You can wiki his name for more details.) The key defining moment for Zhang Fei is the battle of Chang Ban, where he single handedly guarded a bridge against enemy troops.
Wielding his deadly Snake Spear, and fighting with no fear, and shouting with an earth trembling war-cries, he repelled all the enemy troops. (Think the scene 300, when a small elite Spartan troop guarded the pass, only that Zhang Fei was alone by himself.)
Flycheung looked impassively at the enemies marching towards the draw bridge.
The shadow troops were commanded by the fearsome Zaladar, Barcanfan most trusted lieutenant. Hordes of Dark flayers, Deathbones and Deathmages were ready to die at the command of Zaladar. Dark flayers never missed with their tentacles, and always hit their targets first. The fanatical Deathbones seek glory of landing the killing blow on their enemy, even if they have to pay with their life. The Deathmages strike from behind the charging flayers and deathbones, safe from the enemies swords. Who can deny the shadow horde?
Zaladar raised his hand and the shadow horde charged.
"I AM YI DE OF A1!!! COME AND TASTE MY DEADLY SPEAR!" Flyc's earth-shattering cry stopped the shadow horde charge in their tracks. The fearless mortal being looked unmovable. The shadow horde knew fear when they know it's certain death.
Zaladar wasn't pleased with the blatant cowardice. He drew out his Streams of Shadow, the sword that feeds on shadow energy. He swung the sword at the Deathbone nearest to him, which promptly exploded. The horde know what was expected of them... And they charged. And this time they didn't stop.
With a single sweep of his spear, the first wave was blown away. But the horde didn't stop and carried on pushing forward admist his swings. A Deathmage managed to get through his defensive spear plays, and had an open shot at him.
Two nightshades appeared from the shadows and cut down the Deathmage.
"I *did* warn you all about my 'Spear'... " Flyc glanced at Lance and the ambush squads.
The shadow horde was attack on all sides by the ambush squads, and the charge became a bloody melee between shadows and humans. The humans won because they were better equipped in their own city. Zaladar and his electric bolts did not manage to turn the tide.... A full retreat was called.... And A1 city lived to see another day.
busti 2 - 0 awal!
Good games mate! first was very close, and second i had almost perfect hand :)
Well played mate. Annoying thing I sacced Ley line in both games. Lol I or a complete 'busti'ng :P
Nice write up :)
Nice writeup Atom!
Awall, commiserations. I'm sure they were epic games.
The first game was great!! The second was terrible. I had 3 shadow knights 2 conversions and oggy in my hand at beggining. Lol
It sucks when that happens. :(
Unfortunately sometimes there's nothing that can be done but die gracefully.
Just remember, you are going up against guys who are tournament winners and long time players. Most of them have been highly successful with other TCG's and live and breathe this game.
While my first game against iClipse I almost had him (had he not stolen that Nova.....), the other two I barely got him below half life. He had the measure of my deck almost immediately, and while I knew what was coming and could predict his moves, there was little I could do to stop the onslaught :)
As soon as I'm able, I'm giving this another go. And if I do.....
Wtzky, can I please request iClipse is my first opponent :)
Me to. I would like to give the challenge another go as well please. Put me at back of queue. :) I don't mind who I play.
we are going to share some of the write up duties. i didnt realize how tough it would be and time consuming :p but i have written up preybirds battles, hope you like them :)
A1 Finneri vs preybird
A Falcon was Soaring above the forest not far from the Great City. it touched down on large boulder atop a hill within the forest. its Extremely Tough Claws digging into the rock.
the large falcon was hungry for the great cities livestock but it knew, it would never penetrate the city. men with flying sticks have killed all birds of prey seeking food above their city. so the falcon made a dark pact with a dead thing. the dead thing would enter the city and deal with the city's guardians for the falcon. the dead thing was even now making its way through the forest.
there was movement in the sky which caught the falcon's attention. the green ribbon of light over the city was slowly streaming towards the forest. the falcon's heart beat faster but was strangely fixated on the flowing river of green light in the sky. but it wasnt moving towards him, it was flowing further over the forest. it "seemed" to be seeking something out.
there was a long snap as the ribbon darted downward follow by a hard boom that shook the large boulder the falcon was resting on. the ribbon was no longer in the sky but on the ground. the green light shown through the trees.
the falcon took flight to better see what was going on. in the forest was a glowing green hammer held by a man standing in the way of the dead thing. the man simply said, "begin"
there was a flash of shadow in the darkness. the falcon could not make it out. but the dead thing reacted. it summoned its allies and shot lightning and flame through the forest. gargoyles tore through the trees looking for the shadow. flashes of lightning from the dead things minions failed to connect with the shadow and trees exploded.
then the mage minion just vanished. a gargoyle vanished. and now other gargoyles where fighting the dead things minions. and the shadow was still not to be seen. now a mage appeared and was attacking the dead things minions as well.
the dead thing summoned its greatest minion... a huge towering thing that could grab the falcon out of the sky. energy sparkled around it, shot from it and exploded. then the towering thing stopped and was silent. the dead thing summoned its arcane energy and the world exploded around it, killing everything but the dead thing... and the shadow, who was still unseen in the rubble of this part of the forest. the dead thing waved its bony hand and the towering thing reformed and started its rain of sparkly energy on the forest again.
the ground, not far from the dead thing and the towering thing grew hot and red. a figure rose from the red hot ground, flames dancing around it. nearby trees exploded just from the heat.
the dead thing summoned its energy again and the world exploded again. killing everything but the dead thing and the shadow. and again, the dead thing brought the sparkly giant back to rain its energy on the forest.
there were fewer places to hide for the shadow now. the falcon could almost make it out. a large wolf. the dead thing, who had been patient, because dead things were patient, finally saw the wolf. the sparkly giant rained energy down on the wolf. the dead thing cast his lightning on the wolf. but the wolf still moved, still fought back. the dead thing then summoned a large ball of fire and cast that at the wolf. the falcon watched as the fire nearly consumed the wolf. it lay there, smouldering and not moving.
there was a low boom as the man with the glowing green hammer slammed it into the ground. he and the wolf dissappeared in the green light and shot upward. a loud snap and the ribbon moved off towards the city.
the dead thing watched if for a moment and then started walking once more towards the great city.
here is iclipse vs preybird:
the falcon landed back on the large boulder to watch as the dead thing approached the great city.
the dead thing stopped, starting at the moat around the city's walls. something was wrong in the water... there was a reflection that didnt make sense to the dead thing. it looked up and saw... the outline of a man? little pinpoints of light were slowly swirling within the outline of the man. growing bright and then dimming. he stood on the wall above the drawbridge.
the twilight man spoke, "this is as far as you go".
and with that, another figure appeared next to the twilight man. they were in contrast, dark, seemingly eating the light... and very bright, full of crackling energy. Zaladar has been called again to defend the city.
as the falcon watched, small streams of fire poured off the walls and across the bridge. the dead thing summoned his minions. gargoyles took flight, mages shot lighting. gargoyles from the city landed near zaladar who infused them with some of his energy. they flew down and with the streams of fire, engaged the dead things minions.
Zaladar decided to enter the fight as well. summoning a sword with crackling red energy, he faught the dead thing and his minions. the sword struck... and things changed. one of the dead things gargoyles started attacking the wrong minions. the sword struck again and other things changed. zaladar's energy infused one of the dead things minions.
the dead thing pulled out a book and looked through it. trying to find anything that would help. he summoned the sparkly giant and zaladar focused his energy at it. the sparkyle giant attacked the dead thing and died. he summoned another one and yet again, zaladar forced it to attack the dead thing and die.
then the sword struck yet again changed.
the falcon landed back on the large boulder to watch as the dead thing approached the great city.

the dead thing cast lightning and fireball... the sword struck again and thing changed. a mage turned and attacked the dead thing. more lightning and fire sprang from the dead thing. the sword struck again and things changed.

a gargoyle turned and attack the dead thing. the sword struck again and other things changed. a stream of fire started to attack zaladar.
the dead thing started to summon his sparly giant and hesitated... then summoned him. zaladar forced the giant to attack the dead thing and die. the dead thing summoned another and zaladar forced it to attack and die. and the sword struck again and things changed.
one of the dead things gargoyles became infused with zaladars energy. the dead thing cast fire over and over and still zaladar swung his sowrd and things changed. then zaladar, moved in on the dead thing. the dead thing cast lightning but zaladar kept approaching.
the dead thing focused his attack on zaladar lightning and fire, nothing seemed to stop zaladar... then the dead thing felt his spine snap and get ripped apart by claws. as his always lifeless body fell... the dead thing noticed his own gargoyle ripping him apart.
the falcon screamed and swooped in and grabbed the dead thing away from the now dying gargoyle. the last remnants of the dead things tattered clothes floated off into the night sky as the falcon took flight with the dead thing in its claws.
the falcon looked back at the wall as he flew away. the twilgiht man was triumphant but there was something else... further to the left... a much smaller figure was on the wall.
little dark had been watching. her legs swinging off the side of the wall... and she was giggling.
may i enrol 0_0?
