I don't like the idea of a mulligan being free, but if nothing else at least make the mulligan spend 1 resource on T1 (so you would sac and in order to mulligan couldn't play a T1 card)
..if mulligan is what most people want, and if we can test it so tah we see how it impacts the game, so b it, however it shall not b free, it must b 'MtG-style' so that if u mulligan, u draw one card less
there's a difference between a bad hand and a hand full of good cards. you can have a bad hand and still have a hand full of good cards. if your starting hand is full of high cost cards that are good, that's still a bad hand. basically, your idea of a bad hand and my idea of a bad hand differs.
i dislike a mulligan because it removes the pressure at the the most critical time. it lowers the skill required to win a game. mulligan rewards weak deck constructors, and weak saccers.
if a mulligan is really wanted by the community, i propose giving players the option to play a mulligan game or not, for both QM and tournaments. if you choose to have a mulligan game, you can only be paired against someone also wanting a mulligan game.
im going to be honest, playing with a card down is not that easy IMO its a pretty big deal early, I think it's mroe than worth trying out
If we have Mulligan, Deck size needs to increase. Two games with this are MtG and MMDoC. MtG minimum Deck size is 60. MMDoC is 50.
However, the loss of a card is very steep in SE, given we must give up cards to gain resources. T1 is at a disadantage if they mulligan.
starting with a 5 card hand even a perfect 5 card hand would suck, added to this the inconsistency of having to play with 50 cards, would be rough, i thoink we should start just tyring the 1 card mulligan penalty on a test tournament or something
What about you may mulligan, if you fulfill this certain condition:
No cards under 3cc in your starting hand or you have 3 of same card 4cc or higher.
And if you meet the criteria, you may draw new hand but you get 1 less card.
And if you quit before turn 5, then your next game you cannot mulligan.
I think testing is a good idea too.
I think the -1 mulligan would be a great idea. Remove the ability to quit the game by t3 with next to no consequences, and impliment a max 3 per day mulligan system if possible, to avoid abuse.
