My run is over. Lost to youanthe 2-0 (zaladar vs lance)
Game 1 I sacrificed a turn 1 spelleater bands, and lived to regret it. I drew my second the turn I lost from his bad Santa. He beat me using my own retreat on his dmt :(
Game 2, I just lost. Never drew spelleater bands, and he probably had a lln for them anyway.
Ive always said that zaladar was strong vs lance but couldn't figure out the right build. Looks like youanthe has, though :)
The battle proved too hot for the intruder to handle.

the dark hunter surveyed the city. a frontal approach was impossible. the drawbridge was up and there was no easy access to the walls because of the moat. but his companion, Lance, assured him, he could get in.
"this is what i do", Lance had told him earlier, "i can get in easily and then find a way in for your forces"
the dark hunter was sure of Lance's abilities, confident even. he had seen him in action many times. he could get in and find a way.
a soft voice startled the hunter, "yur thinkin too hard"
he turned quickly towards the possible threat but all he saw was a girl in dark red.
suddenly anxious the hunter asked, "are you one of the cities defenders?"
little dark giggled, "im not on duty tonight"
now the hunter was worried, the city knew he was there. he would have to retreat and try again but Lance was already gone. the hunter couldnt even see him.
"over there", little dark pointed out.
it was unnerving that he could not see Lance but this girl could. he looked towards where she pointed and saw nothing... no, he saw something but it wasnt Lance. little points of golden light swirled in the distance. as he watched, they swirled together into the shape of a man... but the golden light still swirled. a white cloak appeared around the swirling golden light. only the "face" was visible.
little dark giggled, "the Codeman is here... HE is on duty. i have to go now. my garden needs tending. GG hunter"
"GG?" the hunter thought, "what does that mean?" but his attention was back on the white cloaked figure. there was a very small dark skinned elf woman next to him. Majiya. Damn.
"thats why she didnt answer my call, she is employed by the city", he thought as he watched. Majiya started chanting... lightning sprung from her hands and struck, was that Jasmine? yes, that was jasmine but the bolt struck something else too. it outlined Lance as he was struck.
"not good" was now the only thought the dark hunter had as he move to use the battle as a distraction to get closer to the city.
he could see now that Lance had summoned all his forces and they were fighting for their lives. it wasnt going good at all. the dark elf had summoned her forces and they were overwhelming. deathmages were killing the nightshades with Lance. a demon made of Lava had appeared out of nowhere and crushed a priest. another demon had suddenly appeared behind Raven, catching her whip in its hand and turning her around before crushing her. Aeon ran at the demon, too late to protect Raven. he managed to take the demon out but was severely burned in the process. he kept fighting as 2 more demons made of lava appeared. shortly after defeating Aeon, the demons fell upon another priest and the bannerman Aldon. fire from the demons was burning everything. lighting rained down on Lance and his troops from Majiya. out of nowhere, there was a roar, Majiya had now summoned a minotaur to finish off Lance and his troops.
but wait, something else had happen... the battle had stopped, the demons and the minotaur were confused, looking at Majiya for guidance. but she was distracted. she couldnt focus.
off to the side, watching the battle was a man. it seemed like a beam of moonlight had sprung into existence for him. his bare muscular arms hung at his side. he chest covered in a leather vest, had molded to his lean but muscular body. 2 swords were strapped to his back. Majiya had seen him, standing there. her words of power had gone... they no longer came with meaning... she tried in vain to say the words right, but her attention kept being drawn back to the man with the two swords.
the hunter and Lance took this opportunity to get away... but they didnt leave, they headed towards the city.
"Majiya... MAJIYA...", the codeman yell as his smacked a rectangular object into the palm of his hand, "MAJIYA!!!"
startled, Majiya turned back to the battle... but there was no battle anymore. the demons and the minotaur stood there, waiting for direction from her but their opponents were now gone...
"what?...", Majiya said... "where?..."
she was upset with herself now... and angry with the the man who was watching. the one who had distracted her
... but her eyes still wanted to glance once more at the man in the moonlight...
