Is this alliance still active? Embarrassingly, i've been kinda obsessed with this game since i discovered it a week ago.... I think i've invested maybe $20 so far...but i feeling that is going to increase... I played some MTG in it's early years...but I was only like 9 years old at that time so I didn't have the money to purchase MTG cards to make any respectable decks.... So i would just borrow my friends cards with envy... but now that i'm older, with a job, and with some money to spend, this game kinda of reminds me of MTG...and now I can construct some respectable decks! Anyways, I'd like to join!

Firstly, Welcome to the SE community!
Yes, the A1 alliance is very much alive. The group features some of the best SE players all over the world.
We play, share and learn from each other. It's the most active guild here at the forum, although the membership is limited to only 30 of us.
You'll spot us easily. We all have appointments within the Alliance and you can see that from our 'signatures' at the end of our postings.
More on the Alliance if you are keen to join in a couple of months.
I shamelessly 'copy/paste' this from Pete's post (Pete's the A1 Leader)
Some requirements:
"Should own all the cards, be able to construct any required deck, within reason (if you have most cards and couldn't be bothered to own cards you don't need, that's no big deal). The reason for this is that A1 likes to manipulate the meta, and you need all cards to do this."
Although we accept on rare occasions, members who do not fulfill this requirement, these members have proven to be exceptional, either in actual gameplay, contributions to this forum or both.

A lot of A1 members hang out there when we are free. We also set-up our games there. Most of us like challenges and hence only play 'arranged' games with other top players.

I was disappointed he dropped out of the titan tourney, cause he was my pre-tourney pick to win (besides myself).
