I think it would be more playable if allies too could benefit from the +2 damage bonus. Why don't we keep it an item, but offer the option to trigger it when we choose?

Cost: 2
Effect: Target deals +2 damage with his next attack and Sorcerous Poison is destroyed.
So it would be a better Extra Sharp. We can play it when we have 2 resources to spare, hero AND allies can benefit from it, and we could activate more than one in a turn to deal massive damage to a target.
EDIT: About activating more than one: I don't know if the game would allow it since same abilities don't stack
Not that playable, should add: "target damaged by Sorcerous Poison is poisoned".
It is not efficient now, but as more cards will be released it will gain more synergy. Right now rogues have only one weapon for them so let's wait a bit.

Effect: When your hero deals damage to the enemy hero, that damage is dealt to all enemy allies in play as well. Sorcerous poison is destroyed after use.
Currently, Serena has no way of dealing with Nightshades except for Special Delivery and Assasination. But against Lance Assassination is needed because it's also the only viable way of dealing with stealth Aeons while Lance is free to use Assasination against Serena's Nightshades. And 1 damage to the opposing hero and allies wouldn't be a too strong attack either i think (esp. comsidering that you also need to have Throwing Knife at hand for this to work) while still helpful in some situations.
