It would "punish" the heroes who like to keep their energy for later, and fits in the rogue philosophy which wants the rogues delivering crippling and critical blows.

Extra sharp for hero only? So and so as a card.
Actualy better then Extra sharp, as you can put this down before (a lot of times you don't have a nice card to put down and have some resource left) and then later on use it. (when your hero has a weapon)

I think it is the weakest of the rogue abilities. It can increase the damage dealt only by your hero and it requires the hero to be equiped. I think most players would like to play an ally at 2nd turn, or use Extra sharp in turn 3 to give +2 to Puwen or Blake.
The bonus applies only to combat damage, or to abilities too? Rogue heroes don't have activated abilities right now, but with all the stealing from other classes, it could easily end up in the hands of Zaladar. If it applies only to combat damage, it should show on the card.
