Let's Build is a new series I'll be throwing out there. It's where we take a hero that's underused or just bad, and make him playable with at least a 2:1 Win/Loss Ratio in Quick Matches. This will expand our knowledge of the game and playstyles beyond our comfort zone, show Wulven where the glaring weaknesses in their set is and jut be plain old fun. so jump in! Everyone is encouraged to build the deck and test it along side me.
To start this first build off, Badaruu, let's get a basic premise down. I believe Badaruu, if to work, will be a solo hero. Too much ally support would be a hindrance to keeping his bows out and pumped. That said, I believe an Evil Ascendant Build is likely the best course of action.
Early worries: Badarru has very few options for good draw. He also has very few ways to deal with large allies and sustain damage over extended games. Because of this I'm going to recommend we do everything possible to slow down the opponent as well.
1 - Badaruu
Allies:
4 - Fire Snake
4 - Flayer
4 - Deathbone
4 - Belladonna
Abilities:
4 - Aimed Shot
2 - Surprise Attack
3 - Rapid Fire
2 - Shriek of Vengeance
2 - Ley Line Nexus
Weapons:
4 - Soul Seeker
4 - Guardian's Oath
Armor:
2 - Night Prowler
Why the weapon choices?:
Between health gain and damage, and excellent defender protection, I think these are the weapons that will give you the best chance to succeed.
Night Prowler?:
While a weak combo, Badarru's ability gives us a unique early advantage to stomp decks with bad draw. If you have board, Prowler+Oath will wreak havoc early. What better way to draw than to eliminate your opponents cards your they deemed important?
I'm having trouble getting this deck off the ground, so hunters with experience on the shadow side are more than welcome.
Strengths: Going first. This deck tries to come out swinging and go for the KO early.
Weaknesses: Builds with good draw. Armored and or high health enemies. Builds with board wipe.
