Lieutenants!!!!!
Lieutenants *
An idea from playing magic. Like planeswalkers. But a lot different. They are a completely separate altogether so there not Hero's and their not allies. They all have powers like Hero's and gain one SE per turn that cannot be increased or decreased. All lieutenants have the ability of when they are on the board you hero cannot be targeted or damaged. This showing that they always throw themselves in There
Leaders harms way. These card are not protected by protector like cards from aeon and birgette. And can always be targeted but they may have protector themselves to protect *allies.*
Here are possible ideas.*
Ragnar ironclaw
Wulven lieutenant
2 attack 8 health
3SE all creatures that have been damaged by Ragnar are there for disabled.*
6cc
Shieldar Gustafson*
Priest lieutenant*
0 attack 12 health
2SE Your hero gains 3 health*
6cc
Elemental pariah
Elemental lieutenant*
2 attack 10 health
Protector*
2SE elemental pariah takes 2 damage and all allies gain 1 attack and 1 health permanently
6cc
Great armorsmith
warrior lieutenant
0 attack 8 health
1SE All your weapons and armour In play and in hand count has having 1 less casting cost until end of opponents next turn
5cc
Librarian Erasmus
Mage lieutenant*
1 attack 10 health*
3SE all ability damage do 1 extra damage and count as not being affected by armour or abilities
5 cc
Regdar shadowtrap
Hunter lieutenant*
2 attack 10 health
2SE Play a hunter trap from your hand without paying the casting cost
6 cc
Mialee pocketsnatch
rogue lieutenant*
0 attack 8 health
3SE target opponent discards 2 cards from his hand chosen by them
6 cc
I hope you like them please comment!!

hey awall, i think you may be onto something in relation to a seperate card class of allie.
Ive noticed the design team and final edition of cards have made clear distinctions around allie 'class' and 'type of damage' which will allow the game to develop in other areas which could see a 'wulfen general' etc.
for me im up for anything that adds a different layer of game play becuase thats what keeps me interested, its just the balancing issue and taking into account the existing card pool.
my intial thought is this could be a step to far to soon, but will most likely be a an obvious expansion at some point...

So a type of hero bodyguard but just not as powerful as these so far. I like the sound of that. My main idea was I wanted something that was powerful but not protected by common allies do can still be damaged.

I like it. I like new mechanics/concept added to game, which always add new style of game play.
One suggestion is perhaps "always protecting hero" is interesting but considering amount of health these guys have may inevitably prolong the gameplay, which I myself is totally ok but some people may not like it. So somehow you might want to control this. Like Anurak's previous suggestion of "Intercept ability" i.e. only the first attack is intercepted (if I remember correctly).
And I almost wonder with this concept, you can now actually make distinction between What a Big teeth (Class Weapon) and Hero Weapon. I.e. Hero weapon can be only equipped by Hero, but Class Weapon is actually something that can also be equipped by Lieutenant i.e. just like you said basically treat these like mini heros!

Hmmmm I like the idea. Maybe only one attack per turn is blocked by the lieutenant? That would make I more fair I think. And I was thinking maybe having class weapons available. Or being able to equip weapons to the hero which increase basic by however much the weapon is.

I really like this concept. Obviously all lietenant has to be unique by default but also you need to make sure no more than 1 lieteuant on one side.
