    Hypothetical New Class: Shamans

    Just adding another idea to my portfolio...
    **Note: this is a living project, so changes will be made directly to this post.
    My other builds: Commander, Warlock, Paladin


    Class: Shaman
    Themes: Sacrifice, Voodoo, Ancient South American Cultures, Wild Animals, Poison, Traps, Witch-Doctory

    A Shaman has traits of Elementals, Hunters, and a little bit of Roguishness

    Faction: Shadow

    Notation: (number) = Shadow Energy

    Heros:

    Quetzeloco the Mad
    Pestilence: (4) All allies are infected and take 1 damage per turn


    Lucretia Blackwidow
    Elixir: (3) 2 targets heal 2 health (self-targetable)


    Class Cards:

    Drain Life
    Cost 2
    Shaman Ability, attachment
    At the start of your turn, siphon 1 health from target ally (friend or foe)

    Voodoo Doll
    Cost 3
    Shaman Ability
    1 Friendly and 1 enemy ally take 4 damage

    Bad Juju
    Cost 4
    Shaman Item
    Enemy allies take +1 damage

    Jungle Spider
    Cost 4
    Shaman Ally
    3/4 (2 resources) target is webbed for 2 turns

    Head Hunter
    Cost 2
    Shaman Ability
    Draw a card for every 4 cards in your opponent's graveyard (round up)

    Mazutaqua's Revenge
    Cost 3
    Shaman Ability, attachment (ally only)
    Enemy's damaged are poisoned and take 1 damage per turn

    Pressure Plate
    Cost 3
    Shaman Item, trap
    Play face down. The next enemy ally played takes 1 damage and is poisoned.
    (imagine a poison dart temple trap)

    Zombify
    Cost 2
    Shaman Ability, attachment
    Target ally regenerates 2 health per turn and is reduced to 1 attack

    Beast Form
    Cost 3
    Shaman Item
    Your hero has 2 attack and 1 defense and may attack twice per turn. You cannot play items or abilities. (2 resources) Destroy Beast Form.

    Sinister Ritual
    cost 4
    Shaman Ability
    Enemy hero takes damage equal to target friendly ally's health. Destroy the ally.

    Weapons & Armor

    Tepuku Tiki
    Cost 6
    Shaman Armor (mask)
    Defense: 2, Durability: 4
    Enemies that attack your hero are stoned for 1 turn

    Albino Serpent
    Cost 5
    Shaman Weapon (spear)
    Attack: 1, Durability 5
    Targets not damaged by Albino Serpent lose 3 health

    Weird suggestions... Most of the cards are grossly underpowered, some are overpowered. Pressure Plate is a copy of Death Trap. Beast Form could be too powerful. Sinister Ritual is plain OP. Deal damage to their hero, AND destroy one of their allies? Just for 4 cc? Zombify is UP and so is the first hero. You need to think through your suggestions again.
    Fire Snakes are high in Vitamin D.

    Sinister Ritual makes you sacrify your OWN ally. But you're right... I wasn't very original with abilities. I was focused more on how the class would play as a whole. I'll think up some more original content ^.^

    Really? It said target ally, which I thought included your opponent's ally. But with that, it's become UP. Bit of a dilemma... But nice work. How do you keep on making these classes up?

    I would like Shamans to deal more with spirits.
    Like an ability that removes an ally from graveyard to place in game a protector with 0 attack and health equal to the removed ally's health. Or an ability that allows you to discard an ally from hand to give 1-2 damage reduction to allies you control. Or a class ally that becomes a shaman armor when it dies (1 defense, 2 durability).
    Giving them too much healing would interfere with the priests, unless you plan to make them a shadow class.

    You know it's funny, when you wrote the word UP previously I thought he meant "up" as in already-posted in the forums (and hence unoriginal), not underpowered xD

    With most shadow allies having 4 HP or more, I wouldn't say Sinister Ritual is particularly underpowered. Zombify keeps them healthy too.

    And as far as how I keep making classes up… sometimes I just say "OK. By the time I'm done taking this bath, I'll have laid the groundwork for the ____ class." I take LONG baths :P
