    Disarming Personality

Ok, so, I am actually a big fan of this card. The name and artwork are great. I think it is a highly undervalued card among the community.

However, that might be with just cause.

It is suedo item destruction for Mage. Specifically, it is weapon destruction. This tends to be your downfall as a Mage so having a cheap card to remove your opponents weapon is very good for mages.

Here is the problem though... it is over costed.

Take into account Smashing Blow for Warriors. Same cost but you can target and destroy both armor and weapons.

Disarming Personality can only target and turn a weapon into an ally. Not even destroy it. So, you still need to spend resources or ally damage to kill it off.

Maybe it would be a bit too good but I would like to see it moved down to 2 cost. Since you can’t destroy a weapon outright, I think this might be worth a shot. Especially since it gives you no value against armor.

Unless you want it to be also useful for armors, in which case it would no longer follow the true name of the card.

    Thoughts?

I think the synergy as a class card is good since mages can board wipe so easily... turn their weapon into a cheap ally and then drop a nova... warriors can't do that.. you can always use acid jet or LLN if you want to destroy item outright.

So for Soul Seeker, Grundlers, Anklebreaker & Cutlasd then u have access to the neutral LLN to do the job.
LLN costs more but also draws u a card.
Disarming costs less but puts a body on the opposing board.
So value wise there is a double whammy, not only do you lose the positive (card draw) but u gain a negative (opposing body)
Cost wise then Disarming is obviously cheaper, but 3 mana is still high enough that if this is your t5 play it is likely all u are doing anyway.
The other benefit of Disarming is targeting other (costing 4 or less) weapons. But the idea of your t4 play being replacing a buffed JD with a 3/3 ally is just not that appealing from a tempo perspective.

So would fully support trialling the card at 2 mana as I think this needs to be cheaper still compared to LLN before people will consider playing it. Or at least let it target armour at 3 mana. (Since the other reason to pack LLN and not Disarming is Spell Eater Bands & Kings Pride)

You could use it on your own weapon if you wanted but that would mean creating an ally of 1-2 attack for 3 cost? No way. It is definitely better off used for removing that Jewelers Dream or Lythian Sledgehammer.

Acid Jet, sort of. Also Poor Quality, Weevil-tipped Crossbow and Rust Weevil, although not entirely effective can help, unfortunately Rust Weevil's second effect can't destroy Sledgehammer.

As a one hit removal, it is the only thing available. Everything else like Tman said need a few turns to be effective.

    Card definitely needs a buff.
How about 3cc but always gives a friendly ally regardless of which controllers weapon is destroyed.
I think this would also be consistent with lore point of view as a mage would transform an item to a friendly ally and not an opposing ally.
