    Twilight Opportunist on turn 2

Do people laugh when Twilight Opportunist is played on turn 2 or is it just me?

By no means is the card useless, of course there are lots of potential combos when it kills itself and cards that get bonuses from allies being killed, thats very well and good. Use Mournblade as an example if you have to. But I was reminded of this card today and of a game I had some time ago when on a turn 2 I once laughed my pants off because I was thrilled that the first thing my opponent did was play Opportunist.

Is T2 Opportunist a justified play; is this a popular move? My apologies if this doesn't turn into something discussion worthy, this was just one of my trivial musings.

    He dies!
I milled fat Garth with rush Loest. Twice.
    I stalled Moonstaller with Rothem.
I played Ter with monopoly cards and 4x toll bridge and managed to win a tournament.
I cast Portal and Kris in one turn and lived to tell the tale.

Opportunist is a decent threat for an aggro deck

Basically he can be used almost like a Trap Card. You play him and then you get to choose how to spring and use his damage (board or hero). Alternatively if your opponent decides to attack him or use up removal then you are saving hero HP or opponents control abilities which can no longer be used on other allies. Plus if your fortunate to be able to get Eidolon or Decoy Trap down before activating his death ability you will have him for the next turn too. So not a bad turn 2 play just depends on your deck composition and how you want to use him. Note late game with haste he got great damage to cost ratio.

Opportunist is a 0/4 that can spring up to a 3/4 whenever the opponent feels like it on their turn. Opportunist is great with FTA as it can take out 90% of all T2 allies. The exceptions being Brutalis, Vigilant Wisp, Unaxio Squire and Darklight Apprentice. But those can be taken down with the help of Aldon.

as a complement of some players said, Opportunist can be really good with some cards, for example: t2 opportunist, t3 amnor call (u atack the hero or some t2 ally to clean the board, and when it die u ll win one more resource.
Definely opportunist on t2 is a good play if the deck have a good backup for it.

t2 Opportunist is core for many of the decks I run. It is a very reliable going second ally. 4 health means it is hard to kill 3 damage means it can kill opposing 2 drop or potentially 3 drop (with Ythan often both). Also combos well with Night Owl and to a lesser extent Heirloom and Road Less Traveled (not a huge fan of the latter 2 because ending t3 with no board is usually meh even if your hand is full, can be good in some decks though).

t2 Opportunist only makes me laugh when it leads into t3 activate and swing face.
