Ogloth the Glotton

Umm... That card killed me!!! Every time this card was in play it was able to kill an ally with less cost than his attack which starts at 3 with its ability AND attack. But, it raises VERY quickly! In a short period the attack of Ogloth

was 13! I killed it once but I played against the shadow archer which can bring allies back from the graveyard...

What is one to do?

In general, you should play generally effective cards, and make sure you have a good amount of 3-cost allies. When they're about to reach 5-6 resources next turn, make sure you can deal with a fattie (Plasma, Raven

, Ogloth, Aeon

) immediately.

You need to prepare your deck to be able to deal with these huge monsters (or humans). Good cards against them include Retreat

, Mind Control

, Dagger of Unmaking, Crippling Blow

, Supernova, Tidal Wave, and Captured Prey. Having a hero who helps control the board (e.g. Zaladar

, Eladwen

) definitely helps too.

a hunter. Good advice! I guess I will have to change my deck to more hunter abilities.

Playing Gwen, Poison Arrow

or Net Trap to disable, Death trap to kill, Soul Seeker with Rapid Fire

can wipe an Ogloth

as soon as he hits too.

You've got lots of options

Why can't he kill friendly enemies? It could come in handy at some points, and the card text doesn't specify. Is this a bug?

He can in fact eat your own allies as well, just move the camara back after activating his ability.

Oggy can be indeed a livesaver and with a full hand is he even immun to retreat or DoU but still not too hard to stop.
