Jesus christ, this is crazy! I would definetly do this if I had the chance, no matter how crazy it is. If I could go to space, I honestly wouldn't care about coming back :P But yeah, this sounds crazy.

Well you've got to factor in technological improvement over time. They'll be up there for decades, in that time recovery tech will improve and it may get to the stage where they could return.

Crazy to experience something nobody in the history of Earth has so far experienced? Crazy for wanting to live forever as the first extraterrestrial settlers?

If it weren't for the obvious sacrifices, why would anyone care? There's a good reason why nobody talks about your trip to the local park and back. There's no sacrifice. For that alone, if there actually is eventually a group of people going to Mars permanently, they're already unnamed heroes for a good reason.

Some of the most significant people in history are not remembered because of their easy life, or fate, but because of their achievements and sacrifices recquired for them.

I never meant crazy in a bad way, just to make that clear. But going to SPACE and never coming back to earth, is insane. I would do it in a heartbeat. (Because it's motherfucking space)

There's no heroics here. As much as I would love to go to space (on my bucket list) this is no way to do it.
