You can expand this to stuff like negative effects that have duration like freeze from Eladwens ability or freezing grip.

I'd like to see a counter for ability duration, and counters for negative effects like freeze, Net Trap

and other effects of that nature.

Yes, you should pay attention. But anything that makes it easier to keep track of things is a boon to the game.
