    Majiya Control

    Hello folks,
I generally do not post much in the SE forums on decks so I see this as a nice chance to share with the community for the holidays.

Here's a majiya fun deck which I've taken to favour for most of my fun games.
This deck on it's own can serve as a basic build for majiya I guess if you're not familiar with her.
My emphasis is mainly on early small/mid-sized drops with 5 2cc allies with a lone carniboar for going 1st and empty board drop.
Don't joke at the inclusion of that single boar for going 1st, I've pwned quite a few opponents with it pumped into a max 5/5 once before.
And at least I think the pig survives better than the flayer with a puny 1hp butt.

The ammunitions of the deck is your usual burns coupled with DoUs as contingency
plan if the board gets too ugly that even nova can't wipe things clean.
Also for the ally line-ups is an old abandoned fatty from the shadow lot, the Plasma's. I just find them so fun to see opponents scramble for a way out or his P-blast is gonna put the hurt in bad or mop their board clean of allies.

Draws are only provided by ToK's and Maj imo is more than enough as I alway find myself with 5+ cards in the hands mostly. Also the deck itself runs 3SoV's instead of 2 to keep check of draw engines better be it hunters/mages or warriors and a handy card to have if facing some ms.

    Majiya(40+1 hero)

    Allies
    4x Brutalis
    1x Carniboar
    4x Death Mage Thaddeus
    4x Infernal Gargoyle
    3x Bad Wolf
    3x Plasma Behemoth

    Abilities/Items
    4x Fireball
    4x Lightning Strike
    3x Supernova
    4x Tome of Knowledge
    3x Shriek of Vengeance
    2x Ley Line Nexus

    Weapons
    2x Dagger of Unmaking

Also try playing with Oggies in here with a slightly different tech set-up if you feel like bringing the beast out for a stroll.
    swaps:
    3pb - 3oggy
    2ToK+1shriek - 3S'lambs
    3bw - 2SK+1sever ties

    Happy holidays,

Interesting, only using ToK x 4 and Maj's abilities. And why Carniboar instead of Dark Flayer as the 4+1 T2 Ally combo?

    I always feel 3SL + 3ToK is a nice number for Majiya's draw abilities.

Thanks bobwei glad you liked it. Played against your gravebone deck, looks really smashing too. Any chances of sharing it?

1.The main decision to use only the ToK's as my draw engine card is that the deck itself has a slower pace compared to a portal majiya deck. Also it is cuz this deck is minimal on board presence and keeping numbers of allies low on board to keep piling in the damage. This means you usually won't swarm the board and run into *poverty* mode if managed right.
S'lamb is definitely a good card to free those useless crippled allies on board but as its a "1 time only" draw.
Also I didn't include the usual suspects like SK's or Oggies in here I find them not weighing in enough for the value here. ( I have the alt allies on OP running with s'lambs, try that deck maybe it will suit your taste I feel. )

    2. Carniboars over Flayers for my 5th 2cc: a much debated one like medusil/bad wolves' abilities and usefulness.
    Firstly I wanted an ally that would survive better against both humans/shadows, Flayers here will likely be food to dmt's for it's 1 toughness butt by the ping and puwen if you don't get a dmt in hand. it will never survive long enough I find after testing myself. They're simply ignored mostly if opponents are *strong* enough to deal with him later;
Unlike the carniboars, it's either you rid it now or you may risk it getting pumped to unstoppable sizes. With them you will also sometimes face opponent lured into wasting good cards like Fireballs or cripplers eg. Crippling Blows/Captured Prey early keeping your PB's chances to hang around better. Also they can be useful still in later parts of the game if you catch a good window to plop them down unlike flayers and brut which I mostly sac them after the first one to fuel my res to burn down the heroes.

I was wondering where's the draws initially until I found it was mainly s'lamb and it's too late.
So with this set-up, let's just say allies are you main source of damage how is this deck doing with no tech?
I wasn't much of a believer of that direction till lately with my suicide-nish creation....
